bierkoning (4933), La Tropica, Netherlands Nov 8, 2003 Amber color with chunks of old yeast floating. This beer must be two years old or so. Dusty, earthy smoky aroma and flavor. Some cherry, lactic acid and vinegar sourness. Also some sweetness. Typical flavor, an odd mix of a Flemish brown and a landbier from the Franconian countryside. Very interesting beer, but by no means perfect. fiulijn (5880), Como; Lausanne (CH); Malmö (SWE), Italy Jun 15, 2002 Deep gold colour, foamy head, very nice perlage. Strange aroma, some hop, a lot sweet and flowery, peach. Ordinary taste, some alcohol, enough body, some sweetness, but lack of malt and hop character. Poor palate. jbrus (4184), Delft, Netherlands Sep 17, 2001 Citrus. A bit bitter. Good drinking when you are thirsty.
