COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION

Black beer, not pasteurized, top fermented. The natural refermentation in the bottle creates a soft and velvety head, cappuccino colored. Full flavored beer, with full body, its aroma reminds the toasting of barley coffee, cocoa, liquorice and rhubarb. Soft and creamy mouthfeel, with a round and structured aromatic feeling. We recommend to consume at 12° - 14° C. Ingredients: Monte Nerone water, barley malt, sugar, hop and... a lot of passion!

Dark reddish brown, medium tan head. Malty nose with some roasty notes, some dried fruits and coffee plus caramel. Taste has roast, coffee hints, caramel, berries, sweetness. Bitterness, warm booze and coffee in the finish. Somewhat syrupy mouthfeel, medium carbonation, medium body.

glennmastrange (1884) - hobe sound, Florida, USA - APR 3, 2013
Bottle. Moderate malt notes of grain and nutty, light to moderate cooked orange for the hops, light dough and meat for the yeast, with raisin, sweet red wine and toffee in the background. Head is small to average in size, frothy, light tan with some slippery lacing and is mostly diminishing. Color is dark brown. Flavor starts lightly to moderately sweet and lightly acidic, then finishes lightly to moderately acidic and only faintly bitter. Palate is on the fuller side of medium, slick with a soft carbonation and a lightly alcoholic finish. A nice blend of scents and tastes in this unique Sweet Stout, and warming improves both greatly.

Opaque dark brown beer, tidy tan head. Semi dry palate, a little crisp. Mild dark malt. Trace of coffee. Tangy and sweet generic fruit underneath. Finishes dry with mild dry bubblegum. A little disjointed but goes down fine.

Spab (1639) - Toronto, Ontario, CANADA - DEC 23, 2012
750 ml bottle from Premier Wine and Spirits (Halifax). Pours a murky orangey dark brown with fluffy tan head. Aroma is sweet light and dark fruit, caramel and cola. Flavour has some similarities to cherry cola - light cocoa and caramel, cherry, plum, raisin, maybe even some apple. Unexpectedly lightish body. Interesting.

nuplastikk (3274) - Madison, Wisconsin, USA - NOV 29, 2012
16.9oz bottle. Unfiltered brown-black body, glass rimming oily beige head. Certainly can see how someone could mistake it for a Belgian Dubbel, but this is intended as and labeled a Stout. Mellow mouthfeel, very yeasty, creamy. Nice balance between the sugary sweetness and steady fruity yeast undertones. Almost has a lactic touch, reminiscent of a Caribbean Stout, were a Belgian yeast strain pitched. Unique, well done.
