Bottle shared. Sweet red fruits, honey, alcohol, bit of spice, mild sweet finish. A bit free-style like so many Italian brews these days, flavorful enough but fairly overpriced despite the elegant packaging.

75cl in teku. Pours an average to abundant creamy, and light beige head; amber/ruby to murky brown (hazy) colour. Smells brown sugar, dried fruits, raisiny, some berries/red fruits. Tastes caramel, malty, honey, fruity; medium to high sweetness, very low bitterness. Medium body, slick texture. Nothing really super tasty neither smelly, but it’s actually smooth, and has a nice drinkability for being 8%. Appreciable in its simplicity

Rated on 10-04-2013 (Bottle) This beer’s appearance is no head, hazy body, soft carbonation, lots of floaties, and no lacing. The aroma is caramel malt, sweet, fruity, spicy, and alcohol. The flavor mimics the aroma. The mouthfeel has an alcohol burn and this beer is medium bodied. This beer doesn’t have a lot of character to it and lacks flavor for the style.

Very dark brown color, hazy; tan head - aroma: definite malt, notes of dark fruits, bread crust, biscuits, rather mild hops, hints of spices and yeast - taste is medium sweet and slightly to medium bitter - it’s a full bodied beer with a thick, creamy, smooth mouthfeel and a soft to average carbonation. Long, sweetish malty finish with hints of yeast.

Lucky to pick this up for $1.99. When I touched the cap it shot off and beer gushed out, losing about half of it. Once that was out of the way, it is a decent beer recognizable as a Belgian, or in my opinion, a dubbel ale. Muddy brown appearance with a thin layer of lacing foam. Sweet malt and some fruit. Certainly not worth what these Italian beers usually retail for, but not bad, and it is very elegant packaging.

Not worth the $10.99 per 500ml that I paid. Reddish brown color. Slightly sweet Amber ale. No Belgium anywhere!
