Collesi Imper Ale Rossa Ubi has a very thick, beige head, a murkey, rust-red appearance, with tiny bubble streams up the side, and thick lacing left behind. The aroma is of fruitcake- dark, rich fruits and sweet bread. Taste is of the same, with the brandy-like alcohol shining forth. Bitterness is essentially nonexistent with this. Mouthfeel is medium and soft, and Collesi Imper Ale Rossa Ubi finishes semi-dry, surprisingly crisp, rich, and very drinkable. Overall, this is a wonderful beer. RJT

4 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20 Beer_Sucks (2) - - JAN 23, 2013 does not count
Wonderful vinous, almost cherry-like nose
Very little head and effervescence, especially compared to other Collesi beers. Looks like a fine red wine in the glass.
Taste is very fruity. Almost like a red wine, but with some biscuit-like malt on the finish, which is very clean. Some sweetness from sugar added for a secondary fermentation is a bit cloying, but doesn’t ruin the beer.
smooth oily mouthfeel with a dry, clean finish.
Definitely worth the price tag (around $9.99) if you can find it.
