Cask Stillage from the cellar at the Black Horse, Darwen 24/09/2004 Amber golden coloured with some sour fruit flavour. Bitter slightly dry malt finish.

Cask at the Ipswich Beer Festival 2004, gravity dispense. Amber colour, the slight haziness did not bother me. Sulphurous dried apricot aroma. Flavour is moderately malty, soft and easy drinking, but not remarkable.

My third beer of the festival from the new Withersfield brewery. The colour was a darkish amber, but slightly cloudy. It was another beer at this festival that had rather too much sulphur in the aroma for my liking. The flavour is soft, with restrained hops and a hint of fruit, but I found it just a little short of bitterness and grip for a session bitter. Still a very palatable, easy drinking, beer.
