A second beer from the new Withersfield Brewery (although it may also be known as Collingwood Brewery). Deep gold colour, with a relatively high alcohol content - due to a programme misprint it was listed at 4.2% but, in fact, is 5.2%. The initial aroma hit was of powerful, resinous, US style hops, but that faded quickly into something more grassy and a touch vegetal. The flavour has some hop presence, but descends into a cereal accented malty character. A curious beer but quite appealing. Cask (gravity), Ipswich Beer Festival.

Cask at the Ipswich Beer Festival 2004, gravity dispense. Deep golden colour, aroma is dusty malts with some tobacco. Flavour is moderately malty. Had most of the beer with a meal (bangers & mash) - okay.
