Can: I guess I don’t have the ’taste of the Brazilians.’ Has a funky malty, skunky note. Food Pairing: Pan de queijo.

1.9 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 3/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 8/20

Considering its price it is pretty good beer without any resistance. It’s mild and little bit sour and sweet at first, after drinking tastes get better. This is the beer for the one who doesn’t like bitter taste of beer. I saw there is a mark on the can that it has taken ITQI prizes for 8 consecutive years from 2007 until this year. I think it worth it.

Cerveja mais do mesmo. Acho que enjoei tanto de Brahma e Skol que esta até parece boa, mas bem gelada claro. Quente é o terror de sempre. Barata e diverte no "churrasco da galera".

Beer is very expensive in Costa Rica and with the import of this beer from Brazil that comes in at under 3,000 colones "which exchanges to just under 6 US dollars a six pack", this beer rocks!. The other brands are over 4000 colones and the cost in american dollars is over 8 dollars a sixer. I can explain its flavor very simply by saying it tastes better then Budweiser so I am happy to be able to enjoy it.

1 AROMA 2/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 2/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 2/20
A bottom fermentation pale beer that follows the formula of the typical Pilsen type beer. It is Colônia’s main product and especially done for the taste of the Brazilians.

This is not so tasty. Very pale yellow in color and very little flavor as well, like flavored water. Not really funky but pretty terrible nonetheless.

Canned version, say 4.3%. Blonde body, ok froth cover. Cloying corn nose, with rotten, overripe notes and alcohol. Pretty terrible, rancid sweet grain. Maybe palatable at near-freezing temps. Too bad I bought 2 of these-Yuck!

1.8 AROMA 3/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 7/20
Canned, 0.35l. Clear straw color with thin frothy white head and lively bubbles. Aroma of grainy malt, grassy and a bit skunky. Taste starts malty, but not sweet, then followed sour grainy. Mouthfeel is plain, no bitterness in the finish. Light body, thin texture and lively carbonation in palate. Fairly drinkable with any strengths to mention...
