3.5 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20 Wulfstan (509) - USA - NOV 1, 2007
UPDATED: FEB 14, 2008 Going out on a limb, I didn’t know what to expect with this and figured it would be pretty bad. However, it was actually moderately good. I don’t know baout the bubble blurbon the package, but this did have a very nice, thick, lasting white head that left good lacing, on an amber body. The aroma and taste were mild but definitely present and generally good, with a mild yeats, biscuit aroma. The taste is mild malt, biscuit, a hint of sweetness and a hint of biterrness, generally smooth, drinkable & refreshing if fairly bland.
2.6 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20 glennmastrange (1637) - hobe sound, Florida, USA - DEC 5, 2008
Can. Light aromas of grain, herbs, dough and a faint hint of cinnamon. Head is small, creamy, white with fair lacing and is mostly diminishing. Color is sparkling clear amber. Flavor is lightly sweet and light to moderately acidic, then finishes lightly bitter. Palate is light to medium, watery and has a soft carbonation. An average tasting beer, I guess true to style for an American Pale Ale.
2.7 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 11/20 Metalhead (607) - Lake Zurich, Illinois, USA - MAR 15, 2008
Didn’t notice this was Gluek or I would not have bought it. I got sucked in by the packaging and price. $5.50 a 4 pack.
"OK" and drinkable but would not buy again.
1.8 AROMA 3/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 6/20 heemer77 (4792) - Urbandale, Iowa, USA - MAR 13, 2008
Dark gold body with a slightly off white head. The aroma is like unrisen bread dough a little bit of dandelions. The mouthfeel is lightly carbonated. the taste is slightly burnt sweet apple pancakes with some rotting grapefruit. The finish is a little bit citrus, but also earthy sweat. This is not too bad, but I would definitely not try again.
2.9 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 11/20 sheatripper (863) - Brooklyn, New York, USA - JAN 28, 2008
Found a four-pack box of these on the floor at the Polish market. Pours an amber/copper color. Not much of a head unless you give it a hard pour. Husky grain malt aroma with some fruitgum and a touch of caramel and soap. Cereal/grainy malt flavor with underlying fruity esters and some mild grassy and citrusy hops at the end. Has an overall metallic tone. Medium bodied, little carbonation. Could actually work well if drunk straight from the can at a tailgate or something. Otherwise nothing special.

UPDATED: OCT 17, 2008 Can from BevMo online. Medium golden in color upon pouring. Malty aroma with a splash of hoppiness. A little bit of yeast and root beer as well. Somewhat bready malty flavors up front. Hop character seems a little sour. Tastes more like beer than most Glueks.
2.2 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 7/20 Rune (4924) - Tromsø, NORWAY - JAN 15, 2008
473ml can (thanks to Joe Sixpack). Slightly hazy, golden brown body under a frothy, white head that slowly fades away. Firm malty aroma. Pale malt flavoured water with a hoppy note. Finish off with a hints of sourish vegetables. Missing tail. Smooth mouthfeel. Not a great drink, but my best n/a so far (15.01.2008).

Corn malt and a little hops on the nose. Similar taste. By far the best Gluek product I’ve tried.
3.3 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 13/20 brianprentiss (620) - Portland, Oregon, USA - OCT 9, 2007
above average pale ale, very refreshing. very little head. creamy caramel taste with little floral hop bitterness.
not sure why they make such a big deal on this being a draught style - "open the can and millions of tiny bubbles release" - well, that’s just beer in a can.
bought at bev mo in sunnyvale, ca
3 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20 Hammster (187) - Eagan, Minnesota, USA - SEP 15, 2007
Poured pretty nice with a thick frothy head. The color was dull amber and opaque. The smell was very malty and sweet--it was hard to detect the hops or ID this as a pale ale. Taste was pretty dry and flat. It wasn’t nearly as malty as it smelled but definitely was primarily caramel and sweet. The palate’s actually pretty good too. This is the best beer I’ve ever had that Gluek made--which isn’t saying much. However, I would drink this again.
