2.6 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 10/20 Scopey (3243) - Croydon, Greater London, ENGLAND - JUL 31, 2011
Bottle at chriso’s Pre-GBBF Shindig ’11. It pours golden yellow, with thin off-white head and low carbonation. The nose is cereal, biscuit, white bread and alcohol. The taste is hay, grass, straw, cereal, butter, white bread, lemon and some dryness in the finish. Quite thin and pretty bland.
3.2 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 14/20 BeerCast_Rich (1680) - Edinburgh, SCOTLAND - MAY 31, 2011
[1pt bottle, Peckham’s Stockbridge, Edinburgh] Dark gold colour, with a thin white head. Fruity, hoppy aroma. Quite a delicate, flowery taste – which finishes almost very slightly peaty. No carbonation to speak of, the whole thing is very flat, and quite thin. But that subtle freshness I actually quite like. Love the bottle, too – I think you can tell this was brewed on an island [01052008]
3 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20 JohnRMurdoch (2253) - Glasgow, SCOTLAND - JUL 14, 2010
Pint bottle from Peckhams. Mild citrus hop aroma and flavour. Coudy light brown colour with thin head. Very watery texture. A bit "homebrewish" and at £3.09 a bottle overpriced.
2.6 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 10/20 Bullit (3504) - Utrecht, NETHERLANDS - NOV 29, 2008
Golden colour, foamy white head. A bit disappointing on the hops here. Expected a bit more of it. Some malts in the flavour.
4 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 17/20 shoestring (224) - larkhall, SCOTLAND - JUL 28, 2008
UPDATED: AUG 15, 2008 Just the job yesterday. Hot balmy day here in Scotland (for a change) and I was sooo thirsty. This one hit the mark and so I gave it a big rating. Thist quenching hops in the aftertaste. Bit of malt and spices on the nose. I guess I must have landed lucky after looking at the other poorer reviews. Will need to get another rating sometime that I am not so dry and thirsty!! (bought from the wee gem that is ’Locketts’ in North Berwick)
2.8 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 12/20 Ungstrup (26250) - Citizen of the universe, DENMARK - APR 1, 2008
Bottled. at RBESG 2007. A golden beer with a thick orange head. The aroma is spicy, primarily carroway seeds combined with notes of hops. The flavor is quite light with notes of malt and spices, leading to a dry bitter finish. The body is thin.
1.6 AROMA 2/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 6/20 motelpogo (5530) - Plzen, CZECH REPUBLIC - NOV 18, 2007
rbesg07, bottled. slightly hazy golden, scary aroma of bubblegum and creamed corn, flat and listless, thin, no real bitterness, pretty poor
1.7 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 3/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 5/20 Rastacouere (6042) - Montreal, Quebec, CANADA - SEP 27, 2007
Hazy golden, gentle white cover. Terribly grassy, sour nose. Flowery hops fail to cover the off-notes. It was explosive upon opening and the doubts were confirmed immediately upon sniffing. Stale watery palate. Very dubious bottling line in this brewery.
