COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Things move slowly on this island – which suits our lager down to the ground. The rich and full flavour of this thirst quenching drink is down to its unusually long fermentation. Whether it’s the salt in the sea air that blows through the brewery, or the quality of the water – we’re not sure – but we think you will agree there is something special about this lager.

Bottled at RBESG 2007. A golden beer with just a bit of sediment floating around under a lazing orange head. The aroma is sweet malty with notes of straw, and so is the flavor, though also with a note of citrus.

Bottled@Fonefan. Golden colour, not much head. Aroma is hops, diacetyl and some mild earthyness. Flavour is quite much the same with some mild sweet hayish notes. Wellbalanced, but not very exciting.

UPDATED: DEC 25, 2007 Bottled at RBESG ’07. Deep golden, very lively. Lemony and buttery. Quite dry and refreshing with good malt structure and short salty finish.

golden orange colour ... little grassy hop aroma ... fruity ... juicy ... thirst quenching hop ... touch too sweet.

Courtesy of Fonefan. It’s a slightly hazy, golden beer with a creamy head. The aroma has a light sweetness and notes of fruit. The same goes for the flavour, where I also find caramel and malt. It’s smooth and pleasant, and it’s quite charming even if it’s rather thin-bodied.

A Mes rate: Bottle at RBESG. More infected foam from Colonsay. Salty, cardboard and a lightly hoppy finish.

Scopeys East Croydon tasting - Cheers Paul! Clear pale gold beer, tiny white head. Light semi dry palate. Dry lagerish malt, tiny bit of tangy hop. Dry finish. Drinkable - certainly had worse lagers.

Clear light golden, tiny, diminishing white head. The peppery yeast character initially surprises positively, but clearly it is soured, herbal and sulfury, just like their 80 /-. Pretty ruined in mouth, bready and watery and in fact not unlike dish water. Poor.

Train. Tart funk, cider hints, lambic. sulphue. This is clearly infected but i still quite liked it and if this is how its ment to be its alot better than many scottish ales.
