Sep 3, 2007 Bottled. Mead is clear, palest yellow without any head. Reminiscent of a dry Riesling. Light notes of mineral, traces of green apple peel and fusel alcohols. The flavor is heavily sweet, lightly acidic with a long, moderately sweet finish. The body is medium/full, the texture is syrupy and the carbonation is still.

Sep 3, 2007 Bottle. No head (still). Body is light yellow. Aroma is notes of minerals and lime zest, hints of honey and fusel alcohol. Flavor is moderately to heavily sweet, lightly acidic. Finish is moderately sweet, lightly acidic. Medium body, syrupy texture, flat carbonation. A rather simple rendition, though not bad. Sweetness is rather cloying and tooth-aching, though you’d never guess it from the light, Riesling-like aroma.
