COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
This brew offers all the excitement of a trip to an amusement park from it’s copper color to it’s candy-like-caramel sweetness. The medium bodied flavor of Roller Coaster is a festival of taste. We don’t have a roller coaster nearby, but we do have the historic Roller Coaster Road—its got to be more fun then the first roller coaster carved out of ice in Russia.

Tap. Pours dark amber with a medium, creamy light tan head, long retention with good lacing. Aroma is caramel, chocolate, and nutty malt, light earthy hops and light fruity esters. Flavor is malt (caramel, chocolate), light hops, dates, light bitterness and a lightly sweet finish. Medium body, warmth, and carbonation. This is CMBs best offering so far. This was my second visit here, about a year apart, and the quality has definitely improved.

(draft 3/31/11). Dark copper color with light cloudiness. Medium off white head. Moderate sweet caramel aroma. Same flavor, with light toast/bread. Avg duration. Light lasting toasty malt finish. Slick texture. Moderate to high carbonation. Fair lacing.

On tap at the brewery. Color is a deep amber with low carbonation and a small head. Aroma is a faint roasted malt scent. It has a bolder light body with a thin mouth feel. Flavor is light also with a bit of roasted malt and a touch of hops that give a little spice. After taste is dry with a bit of the roasted malt hanging on. Overall its drinkable but nothing special.

On tap at Colorado Mountain poured a clear reddish amber with a lasting amber head. Aromas of earthiness and carmel. Palate was medium bodied and smooth. Flavors of carmel, earthiness and light diacytal with a smooth lingering carmel finish.

Tasted on tap at Colorado Mountain Brewery. Appearance really looks like poop water- watery, medium to dark brown, and quite hazy with basically no head. A bit dark malty aroma but not that much happening there. Caramel, amber malty, watery, and somewhat bitter flavor. Watery finish. My least favorite beer at Colorado Mountain.
