Hazy gold - amber beer, small pale cream colour head. Palate is dry and crisp from sharp minerally carbonation. Thin malts, but sweetish. Sweet spices! Floral spice and piney hops. Moderate bitterness. Dry finish. Very floral spicy, is this because of the rapadura sugar? Interesting!

Bottled 600ml. -at some small bar in random Sao Paulo mall. Orange/golden coloured, medium sized off-white head, fresh hoppy nose with whiff of alcohol. Heavy sweet malty, citrusy hoppy and caramel with noticable alcohol in the finish. Nice one.

There is a little funk on the nose which interrupts the orange malt. Color is crisp clear orange with an off white head which held for a while. Bitterness is very mild, swamped by the chewy malt and a strange savory character which floats around in the background. The body is medium to full, and somewhat chunky. Texture is thick and creamy. Plenty of bubbles but the finish is short and boring. Overall this is not a beer which did much for my palate and I probably won’t drink the second half of this 22oz bottle.

Murky dirty orange with thick creamy head and some lacing. Boozy, spice notes, pine, metallic, faint citrus, sweet maltiness. A bit musty/dank in the nose. My first beer from Brazil, decent.

500ml bottle from Estacao do Malts in Natal, Brazil. The aroma is peppery, spicy with light caramel malt sweetness. I have difficulty detecting any aromatic hops. Kind of lacking. Starts a little tinny with some metallic hints. Becomes lightly sweet in the middle. Finishes with some ethanol heat and a mildly bitter finish.

Bottle. We enjoyed a few of these while watching World Cup highlights while in Rio. Hazy medium orange, off white head. Sweet malts, light caramel, with soft marmalade hop character and moderate bitterness. Decent, but nothing to get too excited over.

On bottle from Alto Dos Pinheuros, Saô Paulo golden color, good foam. Immediate hops, some fruitiness- good malt: medium high intensity. Medium / full body & high complexity . Some immediate sweetness - good bitterness & balance . Very enjoyable ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Very good looking dark amber mostly clean body and stable small head. Not as fresh as I expected perhaps, but this beer makes up in other areas. Very nice malt base, quite thick actually. Mind you, there are lots of hops too, mostly piney, but the voyage to France might have reduced the hop freshness. Great taste, a surprise to be honest, with barley wine like malt base and quite concentrated. This American style beer was bought by my Brazilian friend in a French supermarket... love it! (31cl bottle from Monoprix as gifted by Flavia, many thanks!)
