Bottle. We enjoyed a few of these while watching World Cup highlights while in Rio. Hazy medium orange, off white head. Sweet malts, light caramel, with soft marmalade hop character and moderate bitterness. Decent, but nothing to get too excited over.

Very good looking dark amber mostly clean body and stable small head. Not as fresh as I expected perhaps, but this beer makes up in other areas. Very nice malt base, quite thick actually. Mind you, there are lots of hops too, mostly piney, but the voyage to France might have reduced the hop freshness. Great taste, a surprise to be honest, with barley wine like malt base and quite concentrated. This American style beer was bought by my Brazilian friend in a French supermarket... love it! (31cl bottle from Monoprix as gifted by Flavia, many thanks!)

Golden hues with excellent clarity. One finger head that leaves moderate lacing. Floral and citrus with bready malt notes that are less pronounced. Hops... not much bitterness but great hop flavor. Light carbonation, full mouthfeel.

Bottle 310ml @Levallois. A clear copper beer with good head. Nose is hopy on the resin and pine side. A sweet and malty beer with lot of hops resin, coconut and even mint touch, round notes, light licorice, almond notes too, not that bitter. Body has light burnt caramel touch, finish is again on hops resin.

Pours orange gold with quick fading head. Flavor is earthy with some fruit in the background. Smooth and muted bitterness on this one with a strong sweetness in the finish.

1 pint, 4 oz bottle from Premier Gourmet. Pours a clear orange colour with big, dense white head. Aroma is earthy and sweet with caramel, fruit, some candy sugar and pine resin. Flavour is also on the sweeter side with definite sugar presence, caramel, some vague fruity character and a relatively subtle earthy/piney bitterness. Slick mouthfeel. Pretty good.

From notes. 20 oz bottle shared at a tasting on 5 May. The pour is a golden orange with a good amount of sticky clingy white lace that has some great retention on top of a thin white head. There is also a lot of noticeable sediment with this one. The aroma is more malty than hoppy and citrusy. They are present, but the malts just dominate. The flavor is is quite similar. There is a good maltiness, albeit light, and the remainder of it just doesn’t do a whole lot for an IPA. The mouth feel is thin, and the carbonation is lacking and minimal. The aftertaste is surprisingly light, and isn’t very great here.
