Generous hop nose with sweet malt aroma. Dark cloudy orange with a foamy head. Huge bitter taste smacks you immediately. Gritty feel. This isn’t the best balanced beer but that’s kinda what I like so much about it.

Bottle bb05/2015 shared by jaghana@TriState Tasting II, merci. Pours and smelss like a ponderous barley wine, a malt marmelade-laden with boiled down citrus-leafy hops. Heavy, leaving distinct abv trails, yet not without a certain elegance in its composition either.

Great hop aroma, tropical, sweet malt and a hint of alcohol heat. Light carbonation. Lots of crystal type of malt sweetness, light mouthfeel, and alcohol heat with a dry finish.

Hazy gold - amber beer, small pale cream colour head. Palate is dry and crisp from sharp minerally carbonation. Thin malts, but sweetish. Sweet spices! Floral spice and piney hops. Moderate bitterness. Dry finish. Very floral spicy, is this because of the rapadura sugar? Interesting!
