This opened with a fierce crack and carbonated up nicely. Aroma of sweet corn, classic malt liquor smell. Slightly sweet on the palate, but not too sweet. Finishes with a nice fizzy zing and mild flavors of musty goat barn. It’s one of the better 40’s out there in my opinon. Pairs nicely with a frozen pizza. And what a great history of advertising this beer has, as its posterboy was once LANDO. I also remember a commercial where there’s some black dudes playing basketball and drinking cans of Colt 45, on a public basketball court in the park. Awesome. Works every time!

UPDATED: SEP 14, 2011 Bottle. Pours old gold with white head. Nose is skunk, malt, budget grains and snow. Taste is the same. Finishes skunky, but smoother than expected.

24 oz can, classy! Clear yellow, with a white head, what a suprise. Cheap grain, lightly pissy, very smooth and easy drink, watery. Nice malt liquor.

Pored from a 40 oz. Clear yellow, ¼ inch white head. Smells like nothing. Not much in the way of taste. Light malt. Not as bad as I thought it would be. “ I can’t think of a better way to celebrate the 4th of July then with a smooth, icy Colt 45.” -Billy Dee Williams-

Drank from a red Solo cup. Aroma reminds me of a weak pear cider. Flavor of weak malt. Thin mouthfeel, medium carbonation. Not as bad as I thought. Still not proud I bought it. Experienced with AirForceHops on the Independence Day weekend. Great way to end the night.

40 oz. - crystal clear light. Gold with foamy white head and an amazing array of bubbles forming at the top of the bottle after pouring; lovely; first aromas remind me of those first forties from high school; crisp, smooth creamed corn; super smooth going down; light crackers and white sugar; pretty much the perfect malt liquor
