COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
For over 4 decades, Colt 45 Premium Malt Liquor has been the "class of all malt liquor brands". With its smooth and distinct flavor and historic affiliation with Billy Dee Williams, it has become an urban American icon. If you’re looking for a thick 40, or an ice cold shorty, Colt 45 is the malt liquor that works EVERYTIME!

24 oz. can. Unoffensive is the best I can say about this. Not as good as Mickey’s, not nearly as bad as Steel Reserve 211. Less flavor than others.

Perhaps the most vile beverage created by mankind. But we all love it for its unique ability to get us really, really good and drunk...

Aroma here is somewhat flat---just heavy on the malts, but that scent is accompanied by skunkiness. Taste matches the aroma.

Pale yellow color. Aroma is light, straw and grass. Flavor is crap with an alcoholic finish.

UPDATED: SEP 24, 2010 Forty, of course. Sickly golden with short fizzy white head, one that - surprisingly - holds. Heavy sweet corny nose, just all ’malty’ goodness. Taste is sweet with an underlying current of dry, cheap bitterness which eventually wins. A little fizzy carbonation and faint metallic bite on this light-bodied baby, but otherwise this is stale pee-water. But it’ll get ya draaaank!

Full disclosure - I enjoy this way more than the rating implies, but then again, it’s really best served as the fifth or sixth of the evening.

RONCOD (177) - Uledi, Pennsylvania, USA - SEP 10, 2010
Clear golden yellow with a thick white head that soon faded. The aroma was kind of grassy. The flavor was a slightly sweet, corn taste. Overall, this was too bad. I would drink this again.

Reminds me of looking through 1960’s and 70’s Playboys (for the articles and vintage beer adverts). One of the not so offensive malt liquors. Serving: 40oz.
