3.5 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20 riversideAK (4374) - Shoreline, Washington, USA - AUG 19, 2010
24 oz can graciously shared by my malt liquor loving friend bvc. This is apparently his new refrigerator beer. That is awesome. Malt liquor is under appreciated. Nose is lightly sweet with notes of corn, cereal grains, and light grassy hops. Pours golden with a nice head not unlike the picture to the right. The can is classic, not evil or menacing but cool like Billy Dee Williams drinking too much of it and whooping some ass. The flavor is lightly corny, a little sweet, a little grainy, and lightly grassy. Really pleasant actually.

I bought this thinking it would help me with the ladies and maybe get me a shot at piloting the millennium falcon. Neither happened, but I did get super loaded.

Bottle, 40oz. Pours clear gold with a mild, fizzy white head. Aroma of sweet cereal grains and sugar. Flavor is sweet with notes of syrupy sugar, corn and grains. Medium bodied with average carbonation. Finishes sweet. Like most Malt Liquors, this beer is fine to drink as long as it stays cold.
2 AROMA 3/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 8/20 Onslow (639) - Kalamazoo, Michigan, USA - JUL 25, 2010
Pour from a 16 oz clear bottle. Deep yellow brew with a very thin (and vanishing) head. Aroma of mild corn, grain, not much. NOthing bad in the aroma, though. Flavor is light, sweet corn, with a slightly dry and astingent finsih that obliviates the sweet ethanol aftertaste that most ML product have. I drank a lot of this in my mis-spent youth because it was cheap and packed a kick. I always thought of it an an acceptbale brew, and it is. On par with the typical mainstream lager with just a little more alcohol. Suffers form ebing inoffensive and dull, but at least it is inoffensive...

UPDATED: NOV 3, 2010 Golden color, thin white head. Scent and taste of corn. Taste is poor and gets worse as it warms.

Colt 45 is a very clear, very sparkling, pale golden lager with a thin, soft, foamy, white head that slowly fades and leaves decent lacing. It has a corny, slightly sweet, aroma with notes of corn, funk and maybe lemon. It’s medium-light bodied and tinny with a starchy, papery finish. It’s slightly sweet and doesn’t really have any bitterness. It tastes like beer breath. Fusel is detected. It’s almost tolerable. It works, but not every time.

from a 40. Pours a legitimately urine colored yellow, with small fizzy white bubbles on top. Smells kind of like budweiser but worse, stale corn malt, stinky old socks, pocket lint, sour mildew, slight paint thinner smell. Taste is better at least - i guess these beers a REALLY NOT MEANT to be drank out of a glass, the aroma is just so bad, though the taste is drinkable. Tastes like fructose corn syrup malt, thin and watery though has a slight syrupyness if that makes any sense. Overall a pretty damn bad beer, got the 40 cause i’m trying to save some money these days. To be fair though, I’ve had worse. I’d say this is better than bud heavy. Just remember: don’t be a menace to south central, if you’re drinking this juice in the hood.
