1.8 AROMA 3/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 6/20 BlackForestCO (943) - Aurora, USA - OCT 8, 2009
40. Poured a clear, pale yellow color with a fizzy white head that quickly receded. Faint aroma of sweet corn and some dirty grassiness. Smooth, lightly sweet entry with some light cereal graininess leads into a lightly metallic, grassy bitterness that lingers into the finish. High carbonation and fizzy mouth feel. I think it’s one of the better malt liquors out there, and isn’t overly offensive in any area.

1.18L bottle pours a pale golden color with a 2 finger white head that settles quickly and leaves no lacing behind. Aroma is light grains and hops. Taste is malty sweet with some mild grassy hops. Low quality and undesirable.

Poured a deep gold with a light head and lingering lace. Aroma was primarily of sweet malts - not bad. Taste was of malts and slight graininess with a light hop finish. Not great, but not terrible either. Palate was OK. Overall, a decent malt liquour by Miller for Pabst.

2 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 5/20 wnoble (637) - French Lick, Indiana, USA - NOV 30, 2011
Pale and crystal clear. Head is prominent and somewhat lasting. Some extremely light flowery hops, medium light grain aroma, mild sulfur. Flavor is medium dry throughout and lend some corn like flavors and malts. Palate is crisp and medium light body especially for the highish ABV. really isn’t as bad as most people say. Not to say it’s a "good" beer by any means but isn’t any worse than Bud or Bud Light.

Must be drunk in a paper bag holding apparatus. Had a 40 of this from BJ’s. Taste was skunky, and was sticky on the toungue. Probably will have this in a can next time.

I don’t even really know what to say here. I drank this one many years ago and it tasted so bad, I must have blocked it out of my memory. At least I lived to tell.

16oz can courtesy of TheGriffin. The pour is a ... okay who am I kidding. Drank this from the can straight up. Very sugary, though not offensive, with some pretty intense sugary and apple and pear. Certainly not gross. Not sure where all the hate comes from, but just because it is served in a 40oz from a paper bag doesn’t mean it’s offensive. Got no brewing flaws from this one besides mild acetaldehyde. Not much fusel alcohol but some near cloying sweetness. I would reckon the 9% version would get to be quite fusel but at 6% this is pretty straightforward. Fizzy, bubbly palate.

32 oz. bottle. Standard yellow swill. Huge bubbles with no head. Aroma is huge vegetal skunky nonsense. Lots of off alcohols and some huge stale grain notes. Taste is the same. This is bad, even for a malt liquor.
