Better tasting than some malt liquors, but that is not saying much. If you want malt liquor, you are actually getting a more comprehensive experience in the beverage by buying the cheapest on the shelf, which this rarely is. Think of it as, "If I buy Magnum instead of Colt, the fifth one will pay for itself." Corn and ADJUNCT flavor, thicker and headier than may be expected, and as Homer Simpson would say, "a warm sense of well-being."

well its got a great price, very undrinkable, bad aftertase and lots of heartburn

Pours a light golden yellow. Aromas of minor hops, corn, grains. Flavor is light, crisp, watery with a little hop and not much else.

Golden with a white head with dry dust grainy aromas wafting off of some sugar background. By the time I get to having as decent smell the head went away. Palate is weird.
I’m reading the commercial description... is that a joke?

Transparent gold. Slightly sweet, flowery, malt aroma. Flavour is light, slightly corny with lilting malts. Aftertaste is soapy and a tad dry. Somewhat awful, but I was craving awful, so it hit the spot.

Bottle- Pours sparkling gold with a short lived white fizz. No real lace, or retention. The aroma is feusels and wet paper, with vegetable/pineapple...urgh. Tastes pretty vegetal, there’s some weird malty sweetness and it kinda tastes like creamed corn or some other metallic tinned veggies. There’s a bite in the finish, but It is not really from the hops. Pretty rough.

The lower alcohol version the 7% is inferior taste wise to the 8% version, I loved the 8% but still to this day it takes me awhile to get worked up to drink this version, the intial taste palate is vile sour kind of almost metallic hint. After a few gulps though it’s alot better. Not a good malt liqour but by no means terrible, a middle point at best.

My friend, who was short on money, bought this with getting a cheap drunk on in mind. Well, he probably should’ve stuck to some $2 wine or something. Just an awful taste, an awful beer. Kind of funny though. Hmm, odd that he got what seems to be the rarest of the Colt 45’s...
