can. Poured clear amber with big white head. Sweet malt aroma with an alcohol note. Medium-low body with a bready mouthfeel and smooth carbonation. Very sweet grainy malt flavour, its like sweet corn and honey with an alcohol finish.

Too sweet for a real beer. Tastes like sour apples. I think Olde English might actually taste better. You gotta drink a lotta sh!t to get that tick. I poured it down the drain in the end. I was afraid the drain would reject it.

For this version of Colt 45 there wouldnít be much difference to say from the 7% version as there is only one % difference. It works everytime. Sometimeís itís good, sometimeís it is not good. If you like malt liquor & higher % lagerís then you know what to get from this. Cheerís.
I like Colt 45 more with less %.

....and two zig-zags! Cause baby thatís all we need! OR, actually, not
Because in all honesty, if you wanna get drunk and I mean drunk as a skunk drunk, and you can put aside the nasty, metallic taste, then go ahead and get yourself a 40 of Colt 45. Even here in Canada, where it is about $8 a bottle, itís still the cheapest and IMO, most effective way to get drunk here.
Why doesnít this deserve a 1.0 rating? The reason being is itís a step under Olde English 800 and thatís a saying quite a bit for bum beer.
I donít drink this a lot, because I believe this kind of drinking and drunkenness is appropriate for only certain occasions..... Enjoy

UPDATED: NOV 10, 2013 Oh the good ol days. Use to cost about $3 for a 40oz bottle. A few of these and you would be set for the night. Looking back now, the taste is awful. Wouldnít drink this casually to enjoy it.

355 ml can from the singles bin at Jimmys Liquor, impulse buy at the till. Clear bright orange yellow, feeble foam fades fast. Foul corny malt liquor-ish aroma. Alcohol infused industrial swill, fruity malty and slick. Average carbonation, light-medium bodied, no hops detected. Corn lickíer to make ya sicker; I drank it... wish I hadnít. Brother in law hookup is great. Colt 45 8% strong beer. Honestly, this one seems so close to others in the style. Grape, corn, booze, and a good clean finish. Really like my 8% malts.

710 ml can from my good friend Simon as a (joke) birthday gift. Yay! Pours a clear straw with a nice white head. Taste is soft, somewhat malty. Actually, make this, too malty. Barely any hops. Way too much liquor flavor in it, highly unbalanced. Light bodied. Very low carbonation. Extremely crappy "beer".

1180 ml bottle. Pours a light corn syrup colour with a moderate white head. Smells like sour apple juice, or fermenting apples under a tree. Very sugary sweet, expected it to have converted more sugar to booze. Overall, apple syrup.
