Itís quite delectable, and I strongly feel the gravitas. $1.99 for a 24 oz. can. Good transaction and would buy again.

2 AROMA 2/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 9/20
I bought this expecting it to be just another cheap malt beer, but it was a lot better than expected!
Pours the expected golden yellow, and had a head with bubbles of many sizes and some lacing that stood for a lot longer than expected. The taste was of a light grassy, almost paper bag taste with a hint of corn with a slight burn and a dash of rotten apple. Not bad, but not great. Finishes with a slight burn and bitter after taste.
This is not the kind of beer you drink and say "I just like the taste". this is a cheap beer designed to get you drunk. At 8.5 percent this is definitely a good choice with only a slight deficit for taste!

3.8 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
I bought this as a goof for my 700th beer on beer advocate. It is really a lot better than I expected. It isnít world class. But for the price and the flavor/ABV it rates pretty darn high. Pour it in a pint glass and give it a try. You may be surprised.

Finally had it. Not bad if consumed cold. The chill masks the nasty corn taste that comes along with this fine brew. I still need to have it in a forty to have a complete opinion.

1.5 AROMA 3/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 3/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 5/20
(can - 24 oz) Pale yellow with a soapy head. Overly sweet corn aroma with some malts and grass. Sweet flavor with nothing else going for it. Gets the job done I suppose.

1.9 AROMA 3/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 3/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 8/20
Can at home, sans paper sack and wife beater. Pours brilliantly clear gold with a large, rocky white head, long retention with good lacing. Aroma is creamed corn and Pils malt, light wet brown paper sack notes and not much else. Flavor is sweet corn and Pils malt, wet paper sacks, light peppery alcohol, floral and cheap perfume notes with a dry finish. Medium body and carbonation. Damn, this beer works every time; gotta love the black and gold bull can.

What cab I say? This is urban wino fuel, and not at all appealing to the flavor minded drinker. Okee-dokee... it pours a yellow brew with a fast fading over-carbonated head and tastes like the ghetto brew itís meant to be. Yech!

2.4 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 10/20
This can is amazing. It has the Colt 45 horse on the back and says, "WorksEveryTime" in great big letters. Yes, 8.5% alcohol will get the job done just quick. I know that for a fact. This is a kind of dissapointingly flavorless malt liquor. Itís pretty bad and all, good to get drunk on but ultimately unsatisfying. It is pils yellow in color and itís head barely exists. Its nose is of nothing but a faint whiff of cheap beer. Flavor about follows suit but some slight sweetness brings out that classic high gravity malt grape-drink-esque character. There is a bit of alcohol present but nothing too overt. Iíd say a standard IIPA is worse and that has tons of flavor and this has next to none. So, I dunno, good job Colt 45 guy on a relatively clean and yet still terrible beer.

1 AROMA 2/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 1/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 3/20
"beer #1 in recent ghetto "tasting": tall can. didnít bother pouring these, so Iíll rate the appreance in the can pretty much along the lines of the rest of the beer...which ainít good. Honestly, Iíve had fouler, but this was skunky, and strong at that, which is both good and bad. Harder to get the skunky corn down at 8% when it warms, but at least you get a buzz."

24 oz can. Whatís a road trip to another state if you arenít ticking malt likkas in the hotel room? Clear pale gold pour with a small soapy white head. As far as malt likkas go, this one doesnít suck at all. Doesnít have that awful grapey-aroma that many do. Grainy lager, tastes like a little heavier BMC pale lager. Not very good, but not really offensive either.

2.5 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 8/20
Pours to a nice looking white head that hangs around for a while and tries to lace, but then it craps out to a thin ring. Color is light gold. Aroma is sweet corn and veggies--thereís some malt in there too. Flavor is sweet, tangy, clean, boozy and corn-syrupy as hell--just what it should be. Finish is all alcohol and corn. Mouthfeel is light and dry and more like brandy or vodka. Overall, a decent buzzer that plays to its audience well.
