3.1 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20
Bomber from Whole Foods. Pours a very bright and cloudy orange color with a large white head. A toasty marmalade nose, lemon and oranges. Mellow, dusty, big caramel and toast, more marmalade, tea, low bitterness. Just not my thing. Smooth, but very soft in the sense of being too bland. No major offensive charterer, but not great either.

3.8 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 17/20
Bomber from Malt & Vine. Pours hazy orange gold with a foamy white head. Aromas of citrus and roasty malt. Med + body. Flavor is citrus, caramel, and arguably some earth and fire (just kidding). Earth and floral. Itís strongly flavored, hop-wise, with a detectable hop burn. Finishing citrus/floral/fruity - earth has escaped. Nice bitter ale.

3.5 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20
Bottle: † Orangish peach, a little fiery, thin to moderate sudsy white head, spotty lacing. † Candyish citrusy nose. † Moderate hops up front, candied citrus peel, slight pith and pine on the tongue. † Seems a little dank, basement like. † Body and mouthfeel are moderate. † Not a bright example, but has a decent balance, and isnít overly hoppy. † Iím enjoying the candied citrus peel aspect. † Solid, well balanced, and enjoyable.

3.6 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20
Hazy peach coloured body with a thin off-white head and a nice bit of bubbles rising from the bottom. Aroma of fresh hops, grapefruit, a hint of resin, malt and a bit of sugar. Medium-bodied; Assertive grassy and herbal hop notes with a very thin malt backbone, some lighter sugars and a bit of a piney finish. Aftertaste shows some bitterness of course, but not overwhelming and only a bit of the malt - nice, and definitely on the lighter/easier-to-drink side. Overall, a nice lighter IPA with grassy and herbal characteristics. I sampled this 65 cL bottle purchased from Whole Foods in Portland (downtown), Oregon on 11-April-2013 for US$5.49 sampled a day later in my hotel room here in Portland.
