Dark brown in color with a thin tan head. Big chocolate and light cherry flavor and aroma. This was a tasty big stout.

On tap at the brewpub. Pours a very deep brown, mostly black colored body with a finger-width, dense and creamy, brown head that dissipates slowly and leaves a nice lacing. Aroma has a good amount of cherries with a light tartness over some roasts, oats, richer chocolates, nutty grains, and just a hint of cocoa nibs. Flavor is similar. Nutty and grainy up front with a good amount of cherries, richer chocolates, oats, and a light tartness before some roasts come in to help dry this out. Cocoa nibs make their presence known much more in the finish as this ends with a light tartness, a good amount of roasts, and a nice chocolate note. Lengthy aftertaste following a medium-full body and a moderate, soft carbonation. Overall, a pretty solid beer. The cherry addition is distinct, but not too overpowering and the cocoa nibs come through nicely towards the end of the flavor. Nice base with a good amount of roasts and a smooth, richer chocolate. Good one.

Taster at Holiday Ale Festival. Strong stout with an intense chocolate taste and hint of cherry.

Tap @ Holiday Ale Fest 2012... Poured dark brown with a khaki head. Aroma had cherry skins and some roast. Tasted of toasted grain with dark fruits, roast, nutty malt and a mild hint of cherry. The cherry came through more on the nose.
