Growler from the Brewery - Everything about this beer is classic oatmeal stout. Nice roasted malt, thick rich mouthfeel finishing slightly dry and chalky. Nothing mind bending but Stumblers comes together with a feeling that is reminisent and well represented.

Tap at Marciero. Black, dull, with lace. Rich cocoa nose, chocolate, creamy, treacle, afterwards some coffee and roast. A bit of licorice. Light but full. Very drinkable and enjoyable.

At the brewery. Pours a pure black color with a medium beige head. A big roast and cocoa nose. The flavor is mostly on the sweet side with chocolates, fruit, some bread. Smooth and drinkable. Nice.

Dark black color 2 fingers of mocha head. A friend recommended this stout. One of the best oatmeal stout of all time. Tons of roast on the nose, taste is silky smooth with chocolate, and a bitter balance. Wow! Good god where you been all my life. Excellent!

Keg at the brewpub, 11/11/14. Extremely dark mahogany brown with a moderate tan covering that clears to the edge. Nose is light roast, cardboard, chocolate malt. Taste comprises light roast, cocoa rub, dark toffee, light charr. Medium body, fine carbonation, semi drying close with sweet and bitter roasted notes. Ok.

This is a very good Oatmeal Stout. Right amount of sweetness with no overpowering bitterness to ruin it. Very well done.

Bottle. Pours a near black color with a smallish light tan head on there. Nose is roasty and a little bit bitter, but seems very much like a bleh stout. Taste is much of the same, and while pleasant, does not engender anything memorable.
