ATLBeerDog (146), Atlanta, Georgia, USA May 10, 2008 Pours a beautiful rust color that is extremely clear – not much head with average lacing and below average carbonation. The dominate smell is rich malts. First taste is light, sweet, with a not much body at all. It is followed by a light bitterness.
jjpm74 (2953), Connecticut, USA Aug 15, 2008 Pours brown with a tan head. Smells of caramel, vegetal, some spice. Tastes of cherries, pepper, lots of sweet malt. Tarte finish. dwyerpg (2065), Las Vegas, Nevada, USA Aug 13, 2008 This one has a light malty aroma with something in it that isn’t good. The flavor is pretty malty. Also comes off as relatively light. Not for me. estoppel (1018), Buffalo, New York, USA Jul 31, 2008 Draft at brewpub. Reddish brown body, small head, slightly smoky malty nose. Slightly smoky, sweet and malty. beerbill (1272), Laurel, New York, USA Jul 29, 2008 Bottle. I can’t imagine the brewer creating this beer, tasting it, and proclaiming, "this one is ready." Something must have happened along the way to this bottle. Pours a deep reddish brown. The aroma wasn’t good, but wasn’t awful either with some malt and stale cigarettes. The flavor, however, was vile. Holy crap! Stale cigarettes left out in the rain in an ashtray and then left to mildew. Makes me think I need to go back re-visit some of my other bottom-dweller ratings to put this one in proper perspective. Hideous. fredandboboflo (508), East Setauket, New York, USA Jul 27, 2008 Bottle. Rotten prunes and bitter tobacco. Quite gross. goldtwins seemed reasonably confident this was in a rateable condition, but perhaps less so?
