4.4 AROMA 9/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 9/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 18/20
Growler thanks to Treebute! Clear gold pour with a small bubbly head that fades to a thin ring. Aroma is an explosion of tropical fruit and citrus including mango, grapefruit, mandarin orange, light pineapple, burnt sugar, and light pine. A nice moderate dankness over it all as well. Taste has a light sweetness throughout. The dank hops hit first which is countered nicely by the sweetness. The back end is a bunch of tropical fruit and grapefruit. Long after the finish I eventually get pine and a lingering sweetness. Medium body. Solid mouthfeel, slightly oily, carb still pretty high from the growler and it stings a bit. Great DIPA. I was trying to figure out what beer this reminds me of and then I read tectactoe’s review. This is Kuhnhenn DRIPA but without the rice. I might have to trade for this again in the future.

4.5 AROMA 9/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 9/10 PALATE 5/5 OVERALL 18/20
From notes. This was shared at a tasting put on by @mikem409 on November 7. From a Growler. Oh man. This is great. The pour is a foggy golden orangey color with a nice tall white head that falls to a filmy cap, leaving some beautiful lace all around. The aroma is great. A beautiful citrus explosion. Orange, grapefruit, with a little mango and pineapple. There is a movement to a nice tropical floral hop blast that’s just great. The flavor is much of the same. There’s a strong orange and grapefruit with a little bit of triple sec actually. It’s a little boozy for what I was expecting, but still really good. There is a good hop and a strong resin on the back end. The mouth feel is great. Thinner, but clings to the mouth, with an excellent carbonation. The aftertaste is really citrusy, before moving through a solid hoppiness and into a lingeringly dry bitterness. Great

Growler. Pours murky burnt orange with a thin white head that dissipates. Great pine-grapefruit arose over mild carbonation. Solid DIPA with above average complexity.

4.6 AROMA 10/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 9/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 19/20
Wowsers! Growler shared by Dave. Aroma is lovely with grapefruit, orange rind, and the slightest hint of pine resin. Pours golden orange and clear with nice bubbles and a small sticky head. Taste follows suit with orange rind, grapefruit, almost a boozy tripel sec, apricot, and resin. Great full body and lingering tropical fruit and bitter hop taste. This is one for the books. ISO to share.

4.1 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 9/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20
Growler: The aroma consists of moderate citrus, grapefruit, dank notes, and faint grass. It pours dull transparent golden-orange with a small white head. The flavor starts with moderate citrus and lighter tropical fruits. The finish has moderate grapefruit, light dank hops, and a touch of pine. It’s light-medium bodied with mild carbonation. Overall, a super refreshing and drinkable IIPA.

4 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20
Tap: Thanks to whomever brought the half barrel to Darkness Day... Righteous maneuver. Golden body, slightly cloudy with a nice, soapy white foam that forms slowly on top. Aroma of lovely, sticky citrus, grapefruit, orange & it transitions into more tropical notes towards the back-end; mango, light pineapple rind, all coated with a nice, slightly caramelized sugar glaze. Oily, dense pine & mild resin. Reminds me of Kuhnhenn’s DRIPA in many ways. Same for the flavor. A little bit of spicy hop up front; moderately herbal with a peppery note as you get instantly flung into a sea of sticky wet citrus & tropical fruits, mango, tangerine, pineapple, grapefruit, crystal malts, hemp oil, resinous pine needles, as things wrap up into a mostly dry finish. Light stickiness left behind. A great DIPA, I went back for many refills of this one.
