Great beer the Simcoe hops really shine through with aroma. For 90+ IBUs the beer extremely aromatic. Nice golden color and a smooth finish. Never a hint of the 8.5% alcohol content, this is a strong yet easy drinking beer. Great choice if you are in Ohio.

Growler received in trade from Bencooper27, thanks for the opportunity! Pours a cloudy light golden color with a decent head and lice retention and lace. Aromas of citrus, pine, resin, garlic and a heavy dose of caramel and bready sweetness. The flavor follows the aroma but ends up a bit too much on the sweet malty side for my liking. Medium body with a light to moderate level of carbonation and a sweet resiny mouthfeel. Nice enough IPA but seemed a bit sweet for a dipa imho.

Hazy gold. Lighter than I expected. Despite having this after the lower abv Fat Head Head Hunter, this is the milder beer. Similar aroma, but sweeter and less harsh bitterness.

Pour from a growler at Dark Lord Day that some guy kept opening, setting out on a table, monitoring the level, and putting it back in his duffel bag. Odd, compulsive beer geek behavior, and I couldn’t figure out a motivation for it. Pours a clear gold color with a small white head. Aroma has big, fresh, herbal and citrusy hops, straw, pale malts, and honey. The flavor is pretty much the same. Medium-bodied, with a sweet mouthfeel that starts juicy and finishes dry. Moderate carbonation. Nice DIPA. Glad I finally got around to it because I’ve heard about it a lot lately.

Dug it...hoppy monster that’s not too high in abv to enjoy. Big piney notes, relatively thin palate, dry finish without getting sticky. I like this sort of DIPA.

Pours a reddish amber with a frothy beige head. Aroma of grapefruit and pine. All the primal characteristics you would expect from an imperial ipa- hop explosion with mellowing citrus hops to create a great package. Nice offering from CBC.

This one is on par with the best DIPAs and really brings the hops forward without being overwhelming. Nice job Columbus Brewing.

From a growler. Golden color with a little white head. Aroma of pine, resin, floral yummy hops. Taste is just as good as the aroma. Smooth, easy drinking DIIPA. Would highly recommend, and its produced in my backyard.

Flight at CBC. Awesome light golden yellow with thin head. Wonderful pine and pine resin aroma. Taste is smooth with pine, fresh citrus, and mild bitter finish. Great balance.

Pours a hazy straw color with a white head. Aroma is huge citra with a slight herbal note. Very sweet and fruitt with just a subtly grainy, bready thing going on in the finish. Awesome beer!
