Pint at CBC. Reddish copper pour with a medium beige head. Nice hop nose of orange, pine, grapefruit and grass along with a little malt (although not much in the way of rye). Flavor starts with caramel malt, then moves to piney and orangy hops before the rye malt kicks in. Finishes with lasting bitter grapefruit rind. I wish this 2010: A Hop Odyssey campaign would never end.

On tap at Bob’s into a pint glass...Pours a light brownish red, pretty clear on the edges, a light off white head that has ok retention, not much lacing...Light aroma mostly malty caramel, bitter citrus fruits and only a hint of rye, which is good in my book...Taste is decent, a pretty hoppy rye with a malty backbone. Nice feel and easy to drink. An above average rye and a good Columbus beer to drink.

UPDATED: NOV 21, 2010 On draught at the brewpub as part of the Hop Odyssey series. This beer is a clear reddish-amber color with a medium off-white head that dissipates steadily. Rings of lacing on the glass. Aroma of spiced hops and earthy malt. Medium body with a moderately bitter hops character that has spice and resin notes. Malty undertones as well. The finish is hoppy with a toasted malt aftertaste. Another solid entry in this monthly series from CBC.

Draft at CBC. Poured clear dark copper color with an average fizzy off-white head that lasted with excellent lacing. Moderate to heavy tart citrus hop, bubblegum and earthy aroma. Medium body with a dry slick texture and soft carbonation. Moderate to heavy bittersweet flavor with a moderate to heavy bittersweet finish of medium to long duration. Very good brew.
