Clean crisp aromas. Pours dark amber with a small white head. Tea flavors. Overall an average fest beer.

On tap at the brewpub. Amber color with a white head that shrank to a lasting whisp. Light sweet malty nose. Flavors of caramel, dried malt and bread crust. A little hop kick at the end. Very nice with my lunch.

Medium amber, good head dissolves to edge quickly. Light lace. Understated, but nicely done. Bright, sweet, spicy caramel malt. This is "Lite Octoberfest" in the best sense of that term. It seemed thin at first, but quickly filled in to be a solid session choice. Well done.

Draft at yellow brick pizza. Pours brown with a thin white head. Not much on the nose. There’s a slight smoothness to the mouthfeel with a hint of caramel. Clean finisher. Solid but not spectacular.

Sample at Ale Wine & Spirits in Powell on 09/09/2011. The beer is a clear dark orange color with a medium off-white head that diminishes to an outer ring. Short strings of lacing on the glass. Aroma of caramel malt and mild hops. Light to medium body with a sweet malt and caramel flavor balanced by a light hoppy note. The finish is malty with a butterscotch/caramel aftertaste. Decent overall.

12 ounce bottle. Served in a mug, the beer pours a mostly clear orange/copper color with about an inch off-white head. Head retention is good, but there’s pretty much no lacing whatsoever. Aroma is bready, toasted and caramel malt, along with a little bit of butterscotch. It tastes like toasted and caramel malt, toffee, and some butterscotch. There’s a bit of bittering hops noticable in the finish. Mouthfeel/body is medium, there’s some slickness in this brew and there’s also decent carbonation. It’s a solid Oktoberfest brew, not bad at $8.99 a six pack. Definitely worth trying.
