Our IPA pours a slightly hazy, pale orange with a balanced malt flavor and finishes with a wonderful flavor and aroma only American hops can provide. This beer is served unfiltered to retain all the bouquet from the hops.

Huge thanks to crashdavisinoh for a sixer of this. Poured into a tulip. Pours a light apricot color with a three or so finger head before dropping down to a half finger head for quite awhile before eventually dissipating. Good deal of lace throughout as well. Nose is excellent. Right out of the bottle it smells like bitterness. Initial whiff brings some strong citrus with a bit of pine into my nose. Good citrus rind characteristics come through. No apparent malt presence. Taste is nearly as good as the nose, but not quite. I went back and forth between 4 and 4.5, but the taste just didnít quite deliver the hop flavor that the nose promised, although it is nice and dry with a hefty dose of bitterness. Low to moderate carbonation and exceedingly drinkable. Iíve driven through Columbus many times on the way back to Chicago and I really wish that I had known about this sooner; Iíll definitely be stopping next time to grab some of this. Thanks again, Chris! Serving type: bottle Reviewed on: 10-14-2010

Pours a hazy golden orange with a medium off white head. Aroma was a mix of citrus and toffee, cereal grains, nice malty profile. Flavor of a nice rounded malt bill, light citrus and floral hops.

12oz bottle shared thanks to Josh. Poured a medium and clear amber color with an averaged sized off white head. Aromas of floral hops and citrus. Tastes of the same. Nice hoppiness and a very good IPA. I could see stocking the fridge with this!

12oz bottle from MbpBugeye. Pours hazy golden amber with a big fluffy white head that shows extremely good retention and lacing. Aroma is fantastic and full of juicy citrus hops, pineapple, grapefruit and lemon zest. Nice, crisp crackery aromas in the background. Touch of herbal grasses as well. Taste is more of the same with a biting citrus kick up front with some pithy grapefruit leaving the palate tingling with hop goodness. As in the nose, there isnít much in the way of malts, and itís mostly a light bready character that doesnít get in the way of the citrus hops. The mouthfeel is light to medium bodied and well carbonated. Extremely refreshing feel with a ton of bitterness. This is a top notch IPA and seriously drinkable. Despite the big bitterness, it goes down very easy. Impressive stuff.

Multiple bottles in Columbus @ my in-laws. Nose is prickly grapefruit and sweet lemon. First sip is a remarkably clean assault of citrus and lightly sweet hops. As you hit the middle, thereís a pleasant earthiness and a dry priockly finish. Carbojnation just about perfect. Super-easy drinking and uber-tasty beer. Really easy to blow through a 6er of these. Nice local gem, Columbus.

Aroma:Smells wonderful with tons of sweet grapefruit in the nose. The sweetness is reminiscent of cotton candy. Appearance:Pale orange in color. Tons of white fluffy head. Great retention. Taste:Lots of hops hit in the foretaste, but not overpowering. The hops are citrusy with apricot/peach flavors that appear more in the midtaste. The nutty malt flavor lingers with the hop bitterness on in the aftertaste. Palate:This beer has a light body, with some hop astringency. Overall:I really liked this one. It doesnít stand out as much as some IPAs out there, but itís a very enjoyable drink.

12oz bottle thanks to Ryan011235 on BA. Pours a slightly hazy copper color, with a one-finger whitish-yellow head that has average retention. A nice aroma of hops jumps out at you, mainly citrusy and piney. Sweet malt is in the background. Iím loving the flavor on this one, as the hop-to-malt ratio is more what I expect from a west coast IPA than a midwest IPA. The malt character is rather minimal, and is a nice mix of pale and caramel. Big hop notes of grapefruit, orange rind, pine needles, and earthy resin. Just a touch of booze. A real nice mouthfeel: dry, hoppy, and medium-bodied, with a fairly lively carbonation level. A surprisingly righteous IPA overall.
