Our IPA pours a slightly hazy, pale orange with a balanced malt flavor and finishes with a wonderful flavor and aroma only American hops can provide. This beer is served unfiltered to retain all the bouquet from the hops.

Dank and hoppy nose with lots of fresh citrus. Taste moderately sweet, moderately bitter, lots of citrus, lots of raw sugar and a bit of onion/garlic.

Pale yellow pour with good carbonation and a white head. Very nice hoppy aroma - pine, grapefruit and citrus. Light herb and onion. Flavor is dry and hoppy. Lots of citrus and pine. A bit earthy and grass. Finish is very biting and bitter.

12oz bottles thanks to kmyers8807 and puddintane: Pours a transparent deep copper amber with a clingy off-white head. Has a lightly sweet pale malty nose with some grapefruity hoppy character. Starts with good fullness and light malty sweetness well-balanced with a crisp resiny hop flavor before a smooth bittersweet finish. True to style and very drinkable.

Started the night off with this bad boy at Bon’s bar. nice gold pout with a really nice that has great retention and lacing...The aroma is very hoppy but in a great way, light pine resin finish...The taste is awesome no malt, just a hop presence throughout with a really nice bite. Super easy to drink. A must drink in Columbus.

Bottle thanks to thebaldwizard. Cloudy light amber pour, small frothy white head. Grapefruit, bitter tropical-like hops, caramel malt, and a small amount of pine. A very nice balanced IPA, still with a good amount of bitter bite to it.

On tap at Columbus Brewing Co on 12 March 2010. Hazy ginger colour. Big spicy, herbaceous, grassy hop aroma. Strong resinous bitterness on the palate. Firm, tart mouthfeel, if a touch thin. Overall, pretty decent.

Bottles from Puddintane. Pours hazy golden with billowy white head. Aroma of pine trees, with a little dank to it. Taste is full of resiny hop flavor, more citrus/pine on the tongue. All about the hops in this one, which is just what you want. Finishes relatively clean and bitter. A very good IPA in my book. Never would’ve been on my radar...thanks for the excellent surprise David!

Poured into a snifter. Hefty thanks to therealnomayo for this one. 4.5 A: Opaque orangish brown color. Two fingers of off-white 75% creamy / 25% frothy hybrid head. Good retention and a good bit of lacing. Very nice. 4.5 S: Really wonderful interaction between the hops and the unfiltered yeastiness. I’ve had a lot of IPAs ruined by yeasty breadiness. Hops are heavy into pineapple, grapefruit, and lemon. There a "dankness" to this as well. 4.0 T: Taste is much like the nose, just a little less vibrant. Pineapple is the star here, with grapefruit, lemon, and some herbalness and resin not far behind. Moderate bitterness. Caramel hops and yeastiness. A bit bready from the yeast. Pretty good. 4.0 M: Medium to heavier medium body. Good moderate carbonation. Good creaminess and fairly smooth. 4.0 D: Maybe a little overhyped, but definitely a good beer. This is like a better version of Boy King (also hyped). Still, this would be an always welcomed extra. Good overall. Serving type: bottle Reviewed on: 12-30-2010 00:56:51

Huge thanks to crashdavisinoh for a sixer of this. Poured into a tulip. Pours a light apricot color with a three or so finger head before dropping down to a half finger head for quite awhile before eventually dissipating. Good deal of lace throughout as well. Nose is excellent. Right out of the bottle it smells like bitterness. Initial whiff brings some strong citrus with a bit of pine into my nose. Good citrus rind characteristics come through. No apparent malt presence. Taste is nearly as good as the nose, but not quite. I went back and forth between 4 and 4.5, but the taste just didn’t quite deliver the hop flavor that the nose promised, although it is nice and dry with a hefty dose of bitterness. Low to moderate carbonation and exceedingly drinkable. I’ve driven through Columbus many times on the way back to Chicago and I really wish that I had known about this sooner; I’ll definitely be stopping next time to grab some of this. Thanks again, Chris! Serving type: bottle Reviewed on: 10-14-2010
