COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Our IPA pours a slightly hazy, pale orange with a balanced malt flavor and finishes with a wonderful flavor and aroma only American hops can provide. This beer is served unfiltered to retain all the bouquet from the hops.

I’ve had Columbus IPA many times before with it being a local favorite of mine, but surprisingly I’ve never reviewed it until now! 12 ounce bottle. Served in a Columbus Brewing Company pint glass, the beer pours a hazy orange/amber color with about an inch off-white head that stays around for a while. There’s a lot of lacing left on the glass. Aroma is mostly citrusy hops (tropical fruit, orange, grapefruit, mango), along with some piney hops and a bit of sweet malt. The taste is pretty much just like the aroma, it’s full of citrusy and pine hops, and there’s some light malt in there too. There’s also a very long lasting bitter hoppy finish. Mouthfeel/body is medium, it’s a bit slick and creamy with good carbonation. This is one of my favorite IPA’s, and I’m glad this is made here in town and is readily available in the area. Definitely recommended.

Aroma:Smells wonderful with tons of sweet grapefruit in the nose. The sweetness is reminiscent of cotton candy. Appearance:Pale orange in color. Tons of white fluffy head. Great retention. Taste:Lots of hops hit in the foretaste, but not overpowering. The hops are citrusy with apricot/peach flavors that appear more in the midtaste. The nutty malt flavor lingers with the hop bitterness on in the aftertaste. Palate:This beer has a light body, with some hop astringency. Overall:I really liked this one. It doesn’t stand out as much as some IPAs out there, but it’s a very enjoyable drink.

12 ounce bottle. Pours hazy copper amber color with a very nice dense 2 finger off white head with fantastic retention, that reduces to a thick lacing cap that lasts till the end of the glass. Some fairly nice glass lacing is present around the entire glass. Aromas of caramel, orange, grapefruit, pine resin, and some spiciness. Aromas are quite nice and fairly strong. Taste of strong pine, grapefruit, and orange; with some caramel and a fairly pronounced bitterness on the finish that lingers for a good period of time with some spiciness and citrus flavors. Very smooth mouthfeel and very nice balance of bitterness and sweetness. Medium carbonation and medium body. Overall, this is a great IPA, definitely lives up to it’s hype.

Started the night off with this bad boy at Bon’s bar. nice gold pout with a really nice that has great retention and lacing...The aroma is very hoppy but in a great way, light pine resin finish...The taste is awesome no malt, just a hop presence throughout with a really nice bite. Super easy to drink. A must drink in Columbus.

Appears a hazy orange-to-golden color with a nice white head. The aroma is full of floral and earthy notes. The taste is very balanced, not overly bitter. There are also good floral notes here. The malts are very bready, almost like a biscut. The mouthfeel is medium bodied with the right amount of carbonation. Definitely a very drinkable IPA. Overall, a great brew. Glad I can find it pretty easily around here.

12oz bottle. Thanks Marc! Massive leafy hop and citrus aromas. Hoppy citrus flavors. Finishes with a slight bitterness. Overall an excellent IPA.

Nice citrus aroma. Powerful. Comparable to UnEarthly. Nice bitter citrus taste with lingering bittering hops on the backside but not to intense.

I had this beer from a cask and I thought it was delicious. Refreshing with a good amount of hops. Nothing spectacular in the way of an IPA, a pretty traditional flavor.
