Bottle from bhensonb. Pours cloudy copper with a rich beige head and a toffee and citrus aroma. There is a hearty caramel malt flavor supporting an excellent hop profile. Resut: a clean crisp aromatic ipa that tastes great.

Hazy, light orange color, pillowy white head. Good hops aroma. Tastes citrusy and some resiny/piney flavor. Great IPA, not too strong or syrupy. I’ll have another!

pours a darker orange than I expected given the label’s description, but it is no doubt a beautiful color. One finger of foamy head. Aroma is all citrus and pine. flavor is much more malt forward than the aroma would have you think. Body is medium thick. Somewhat of a lasting piney stickiness.

12oz bottle, big thanks to Ryan for this surprise! No freshness date to be found. Served at around 40F.
Pours very hazy orange/amber with a large fluffy white head that leaves sticky rings of drippy lacing behind.
Aroma is very floral along with orange, apricot, grapefruit, some pine & grass. Good strength.
Flavor is grapefruit rind, oranges, apricot, pine, resin, floral hops, some caramel malt sweetness in the middle, finishes with a decent bit of grapefruit rind bitterness.
Mouthfeel is medium bodied, somewhat oily, good carbonation.
Well-balanced IPA. Pretty good stuff, glad to have the chance to try it.

12 oz. bottle from OakAgedGravy. Pours a hazy orange amber color with a large fluffy white head that leaves thick lacing. The aroma is grapefruit citrus, resiny and floral hops. The malts are toasted bread with a splash of caramel. Hops have a light citrus note, but are more earthy and dry. Good bitterness toward the finish. Medium bodied. This is a solid drinking IPA.

Big thanks to Puddintane for sending this as part of FFL payouts! Nice bright amber pour, creamy and elegant head. Nose is really inviting, scrumptious dry and floral hops. Taste is clean and unfiltered, both bright and dry at once, balanced and complex and a terrific IPA overall.

From notes. First reviewed 7/7/2011. Poured from a 12 oz. bottle into a tulip.
Columbus IPA pours a golden orange caramel color, mostly transparent with a few yeast flecks. A full head of off-white head rests on top and retains nicely, leaving some lace down the side of the glass.
The hop presence in the nose is impressive. Very dank. Some tropical fruits and a bit of citrus as well.
Some soft caramel sweetness to start, but it really does not get in the way of the hops. Very dank, with grapefruit citrus, pine, and mango/pineapple/passion fruit tropical fruit adding some further hop flavor. Finishes wet, juicy, and bitter.
This is a little bit grainy with a fairly light body and carbonation that seems to be compressed and held in check.
I found this to be a little bit off the beaten path as far as IPA’s are concerned, and I enjoyed it quite a bit.
