Toasty nose! Another clean ale, citrusy hoppiness, tight bitter finish. I enjoyed this.

Thanks brentfeesh. Tasted from 12 bottle into nucleated pint glass. It poured a beautfiul, mostly clear amber color (darker than expected) with vigorous, long-lasting off-white foam and lace. Aromas and flavors of bread, toast, caramel, flowery and resiny hops, slightly biscuity and nutty. Not unlike Fat Tire (though less burnt and biscuity), far more complex than a typical flagship pale ale. Very well-balanced and tasty. Highly recommended.

Originally reviewed: 9/13/10. Grabbed a sixer of this when in OH over the holiday weekend. Wanted the IPA, but couldn’t find it, so got this in it’s stead. 12oz bottle poured into a pint glass.
Pours a dark rusty copper color with a moderate-sized creamy off-white head on top. Light lace is left behind after each sip. The nose on this one is basic: some creamy malts, toasted grains, and just a whiff of sharp hop resin.
Mouth is nice and full-bodied. Heavy for a PA, but that’s not a bad thing really. Good carbonation. Flavors of caramel, toast, light mineral twang, and a good hop backing. Really nice APA here. I could have a few of these in a sitting no problem. They’re heavier, but the flavor is too good to pass up. Glad I picked this up.

Tasted on tap at Columbus brewing pub. Pours hazy gold, not much head. Much more carbonated than their IPAs. Taste is very bitter and the finish is not as nice as the IPAs.

Pours copper orange with a thin white head. Aroma is floral with a little citrus. Rather bitter flavor, hoppy but with an astringent metallic flavor. High carbonation, light body and a long lasting bitterness on the palate.

Dark brass color, good head and persistent lace. Light carbonated wheat and sweet bread, moves to a light clean hop finish. Very balanced and VERY drinkable. Worth a taste.

12 ounce bottle from Whole Foods Columbus/Dublin. Pours a slightly hazy amber with a large frothy tan head. Good head retention. Aroma of big floral and citrus hops with some spiciness. The taste is citrus and spicy hop notes, caramel malts and a tart finish. Medium bodied. Decent, but a little off balance.

Bottle. Pours orange with a half of inch of white foam. Leaves a fair amount of lacing on the side of the glass. Resiny piney aroma on the nose. Big hop flavor without much bitterness. Clean finisher. One of the better pale ales I’ve had so far.

The beer is light clear brown with a small head, no great retention or lacing.
The aroma is hops with light flowers.
The taste is good, nothing great. Its highly drinkable with a solid mouthfeel. You mostly get hops throughout which is solid, just nothing complex and alluring to make you want to order another one.
