Specially kilned Crystal malt and a generous portion of American cascade hops are used for a refreshing, spicy aroma, and a long, dry finish. Great with food, it’s big, bold, and bittersweet. Named best beer in Ohio and winner of a Bronze Medal in the World Beer Championships. Four Stars-Great Lakes Beer Guide.

Pour is golden haze with an ivory head. Nose is hop with nice pine and floral notes. Taste is lively as well hopped. Tastes more like some ipa's. good bitter and sweet balance from the hops and malt. Mouthfeel is light and fresh. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Pils type glass draft (~ 20 oz) at the Columbus Brewing bar in the Columbus airport. The pour is a lightly hazed golden with a small white head. The aroma is soft floral and citrus fruit hop, along with grainy malt. The taste is somewhat muted hop up front, floral, resin, earth, then the grainy biscuit malt carries the finish, which is dry and clean. The palate is light to medium bodied, with soft carbonation. Nice mineral element in the back as well. Easy drinker.

12oz bottle. Better than I expected straight up off the bat, well hopped, nice grapefruit cascade feel. Unfiltered orange-brown, greyed..murky. Thin, steady off-white head. Earthy and full bodied, pretty rich for a beer of 5.3%. Soapy and astringent after awhile, would really benefit from filtration...too heavy and yeasty to really session. Certainly a decent offering.

12oz Bottle. Appearance is slightly hazy copper color with medium off-white head. Aroma is subdued with notes of fruit, spice, and spruce. Taste is weighted on the hops with flavors of citrus and fruit with only a mild, nutty, malty fullness coming through toward the finish. Palate is medium bodied, avenger texture and carbonation, slightly astringent and a long, dry finish.

Cloudy orange-copper with a medium eggshell head. Hoppy aroma. Flavor is bitter upfront, with a semi-dry, fruity finish. Solid pale ale.

Tap @ Crowne Plaza - Downtown Columbus: Cloudy copper color with minimal head. Hop aroma with hay, almost sweet with a little pepper thrown in. Good solid pale ale and balance between the hops and malts. A bit musty in the aftertaste. Not bad.

Enjoyed this pale ale very much. Copper in color moderate white head. Good piney aroma and bitter and refreshing. Fairly dry but not bone west coast dry. Well balanced and session able

Color hazy with transparency. Hop notes hit on first taste but leaves a bit of bitterness on palate. Not typical hop bitterness. Not the best of P.A. but not horrible

On draft at the Embassy Suites in Columbus. I always relish the opportunity to partake in locally brewed beer. Review from notes. A: This beer has a mostly clear appearance and is a darker shade of orange. The beer has a massive head that leaves ample lacing throughout the glass. S: The aromas are fairly subtle, with a subdued hop presence. Initially, I thought that perhaps the cold temperature of the beer may be masking the aromas, but all I could perceive was a subdued hop bill and faint traces of malt. T: The beer tastes pretty decent, and is far more enjoyable than any of my other draft choices would have been. It is fairly well balanced and easy to drink, though there’s really nothing about this beer that causes me to want another drink, other than the fact that I want to sit down and have a beer. M: There is an astringent bitter note, most notably evident in the finish. D: This was a pretty mediocre brew. I’m not too interested in another round. It was worth a try.
