UPDATED: AUG 17, 2011 I hate giving this brewery good ratings. On draft at the Polaris tilted Kilt. Copper pour with a light white head. Nice hoppy spicy aroma though not a particularly strong aroma. A pleasant drink. Medium bodied malt that has just a hint of malt/caramel before quickly revealing the spicy rye and ample spicy pine hops. A great display of rye and hop in concert.

Draft sample. Poured a clear dark copper color with a medium fizzy off-white head that mostly lasted with good lacing. Moderate earthy rye aroma. Medium body with a slick texture and soft carbonation. Medium bitter flavor with a medium bitter tingly finish of moderate duration. Solid drinkable brew.

On draught at Gallo’s. The beer is a clear dark amber color with a medium off-white head that diminishes steadily. Rings of lacing on the glass. Aroma of spiced hops and sweet toasted malt. Medium body with a moderately bitter hops character that has piney and herbal notes. Touches of malt and fruit too. The finish is hoppy with a lingering bitterness left over. The word "Rye" didn’t jump into my mind drinking it, still a solid brew.

Growler shared by a friend. Clear amber pour with a thick off-white head. Citrusy and piney hop nose with some malty character and a hint of spicy rye that’s so subtle that I probably wouldn’t have picked it out as rye. Malty flavor quickly turning to piney hops with some citrusy hops before a slight spicy rye malt finish. Once again, I honestly probably wouldn’t have picked up on the rye had I not known it was in there. Still a delicious beer though.
