On tap at Bob’s. Cloudy red pour with a thin tan head. Big hop aroma of orange, grapefruit, pine and spiciness. A bit of malt in there. Spicy and orangey hop flavor up front followed by caramel malt before a spicy bitter finish. Flavor doesn’t match the nose, but it gets better as it warms up. Another solid offering of the 2010: A Hop Odyssey campaign.

This has a deep mahogany color to it, very attractive in the glass. This has a fantasticly strong hoppy aroma full of citrus fruits, pine and a strong caramel malt backbone. Nice citrus hops and earth on the tongue. A little thin on the mouthfeel with a short bitter finish.

On draught at the brewpub. The beer is a mostly clear dark amber-brown color with a medium foamy beige head that recedes slowly. Jagged patches of lacing on the glass. Aroma of candied oranges, malt and hops. Medium body with flavors of citrus, burnt sugar, malt and hops. The finish is soft and fruity with a mild hops aftertaste. Overall this beer isn’t quite up to par with the rest of the beers thus far in the Hop Odyssey, but it is a decent brews.
