Bottle at varsity club. NIce balance of spice and malt. Ginger not overdone as is in some. definitely drinkable as session, as it was not overbearing.

Bottle courtesy of Luke, this could be hit or miss for most people, if you love gingerbread and cinnamon with beer you’ll probably love this, sweet beer lovers this is good for you too, those looked for muted spice behind the scenes, not so much I thought it worked well

The color of Columbus Brewing Winter Warmer is rather attractive. A rich caramel hue. But the aroma is what really draws you in. Loads of ginger and cinnamon. The white head thins out rapidly, but it sticks around all the way through with fantastic lacing. Ginger and caramel are the biggest flavors here. The cinnamon adds just a late heat followed by a bite from the hops. Tastes a bit like a graham cracker, too. Maybe not the top tier of winter beers, but I would have no problem doing this again

Beer appears as a dull rust colored murky liquid with a sparse head of medium to tiny off white bubbles. Nose is nutmeg and less evident christmas type spices over medium malt and faint hop aromas of resin. Taste is initially dry with pine resin hops and medium malt through the middle. very restrained spice presence. very fizzy/tingly on the mouthfeel. finishes warmly with flavors developing and broadening.

Poured into a shaped pint. Appears a dark amber with decent off-white head. Nose is cinnamon and sweet malt. Taste is pretty sweet with cinnamon and a slight alcohol hint. Lovely taste. Very enjoyable on one of our first cold evenings.

A: The pour is a clear amber color with a short lived off-white head. S: Certainly a lot of spices going on here. Mostly cinnamon, but perhaps some all-spice and clove is there, too. The more I smell it, the more it smells like apple pie. And in this case, that is not a bad thing. T: It tastes like apple pie too. A big cinnamon flavor to go along with some mostly sweet but slightly tart apples. There’s even a bit of a pie crust flavor from the malts. M: Medium in body with a moderate carbonation as well. D: This was like drinking apple pie, and I quite liked it. Not as cloying or overly sweet as it sounds, either. Really nicely done, actually.

Picked this up a while ago at Ohio State, where I went to see my Nittany Lions blow a halftime lead and get stomped. Oh well, I came out of it with good beer. Very dark brown pour, hazy. Small off white head with hardly any lacing or retention. Smell is really heavy on the spices, cinnamon and gingerbread. Malty and unlike any beer I’ve ever smelt before. Wow. Sometimes I get a taste in my mouth and I can’t think of anything else. This is liquid Graham Crackers, cinnamon ones specifically. It starts off light, but the finish is all graham crackers. Medium bodied with a nice bite of carbonation. Sort of weird to rate the drinkability on this one. While I can’t taste any alcohol, what I am tasting is strange. Taking me a while to get through a 6 pack.

Bottle. Pours a reddish rust color, hazy, with a creamy light beige head. The aroma is ginger cookies, cinnamon sugar and biscuity malt. Taste is relatively sweet with a holiday spice finish. Mouthfeel is smooth and creamy with relatively low carbonation. Overall, it’s a decent holiday ale but a bit too simple. The spicing could be more varied and the finish cleaner. Still, I enjoy the malt flavor, and the beer is definitely in the holiday spirit.

Bottle. pour was amber, very little head. taste of cinnamon and apples. there is a slight off taste but is still very enjoyable. very little hop, mostly malt. Good to try once, I would have trouble drinking more than one.

Bottle. Pours a clear dark amber with a small bubbly white head. Light aroma of malt, yeast. Taste has a ton of cinnamon, with malt, nutmeg, and baked goods. Lingering spiciness. Interesting.
