dwyerpg (2065), Las Vegas, Nevada, USA Aug 13, 2008 A great floral aroma. flavor has a growth of bitterness from the start to end. Pretty good, could be a little bit better if had a better balance of hop types in the actual beer itself. estoppel (1018), Buffalo, New York, USA Jul 31, 2008 Draft at brewpub. Fruity US hop nose, light amber/golden body, medium white head. Nice fruity body with firm bitterness, some clean malts peek through. brentfeesh (910), Gadsden, Alabama, USA Jun 9, 2008 An 8 year boycott ends. Pours golden orange with nice looking carbonation and a little head. Tons of fruity hop aroma. Fruit loops, and passion fruit come to mind. The flavor is very enjoyable. Full of grapefruit and orange zest. At no point is this harsh, just smooth hop bitterness. A true IPA hop fest with just a touch of grain. Dry medium body. A very enjoyable brew. Too bad CBC makes this as I’ll likely not be back on principle. Glouglouburp (1943), Montreal, Quebec, Canada May 16, 2008 In short: A bitter fruit-salad. Tasty IPA. Good stuff.
How: Tap at brewpub
The look: Partly cloudy dark orange body with a small white head
In long: Very aromatic and very tasty. Garden flower and strawberries on the nose. Taste is like a freshly squeezed orange over a fruit salad with some strawberries thrown in for good measure. Short but sharp and strong bitterness. As my pint warmed some pine-cone juice was coming out. Malt profile could have used some oomph! but overall this is a superior and different IPA and in the USA standing out from crowd is pretty hard when you’re an IPA or a fat-ass.
sliffy (1951), Columbus, Ohio, USA May 5, 2008 On tap @ Bodega: Pours a clear copper with a white head. Aroma, citrus and fruity notes, very fresh hops, pale malts. Flavor, pale malts and caramel up front, bright fruity and citrus notes, floral almost potpourri like flavor on the finish.
