ATLBeerDog (142), Atlanta, Georgia, USA May 10, 2008 Pours a beautiful rust color that is extremely clear – not much head with extremely light lacing and below average carbonation. The dominate smell is a sweet cake like spice. First taste is light, sweet, with a cake like spice of ginger and cinnamon that dominates. It is followed by a light bitterness.
1010 (4), Marysville, Ohio, USA does not count Aug 8, 2008 Appearance: Pours dark cloudy amber.
Smell: smells of nutmeg and other spices.
Taste: Taste carmel with a sweet nutmeg aftertaste.
Drinkability: I couldn’t imagine having a few of these because of the sweetness. One beer is probably enough before you move on to something else.
Note: I did try this one in the summer and its a winter beer. Maybe trying it in the right season would help things out a bit.

ChainGangGuy (1511), Kennesaw, Georgia, USA Jul 12, 2008 Appearance: Pours a clear, dark amber body with a small, wispy, white head.
Smell: English-minded malts laid against a backdrop of strong notes of ginger, various spices, and tart-smelling fruits.
Taste: Sweet caramel maltiness is somewhat obscured but a jolt of tart fruitiness. Then the ginger, then the spices. Even a dash of table sugar. Not much in the way of hops beyond a very light bitterness. Tart finish with a lingering taste of sliced ginger.
Mouthfeel: Medium-bodied. Medium carbonation.
Drinkability: Lose that questionable tartness and you just may have something here. WeeHeavySD (1699), San Diego (Hillcrest), California, USA Jun 18, 2008 12oz bonus. Bonus via trade. Pours orange with a big fluffy tan head. Spiced nose, and a sugary semi putrid taste. Its ok but really not my thing. kp (6200), Woodstock, Georgia, USA May 25, 2008 Date: 05/10/2008

CaptainCougar (4624), Rockville, Maryland, USA May 10, 2008 Pours a transparent copper amber with a stringy-lacing off-white head. Aroma of sweet caramel malt and cinnamon sugar. Body starts with lots of lemon citrusy acidity and some holiday spice and pine before a thinner, fizzy finish. The tartness seems out of place, but might otherwise be a decent spice beer.
