500 ml bottle picked up in Baumholder, Germany of all places. Pours an orange brown with a fast to go off white head. Aroma is sweet malt, paper, cloves and other spices. Taste is a nice and soft sweetness but nothing really home to write about. Palate is smooth and tinglely. Not bad but below expectations for style.

50 cl bottle @ Gastropub Tuulensuu, BBE 24.10.2013
Aroma has toffee, metal, fruits, hay and grain.Flavour is grainy with citrus, fruits, grainy malt, hay and toffee. Good, a bit more malty and stuffy than their Zoigl. Also lower on citrus tones. Feels a bit like dunkel at the end of the glass.

stevoj (969) - Ramstein-Miesenbach, GERMANY - FEB 12, 2013
This amber brew has a nice thick fluffy head on pour, which fades to an oily skin. Aroma is faint caramel, taste is a bit stronger with elements of toffee, caramel, butterscotch and rye bread. This is a really nice zoigl.

Bottle shared with McTapps. Just another boring kellerbier with no heights and bit roasted malt in the dominance. Mediocre.

McTapps (1618) - Ruhrgebiet, GERMANY - JAN 24, 2013
Bottle shared with MichaelBruch. Milky brown in colour with low but steady head. Nose of malt. Taste of mild hops, nuts, low malt, light yeast and caramel-honey. Little bit watery, nothing special.
