COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
A special version of The Whale with espresso added after fermentation was complete. The espresso was brewed using Sumatran roast coffee from Blue Mountain Coffee Roasters in Buffalo, NY.

Growler fill from the brewery. Pours a dark, basically opaque brown. Smells strongly of light coffee, light roast, nothing too heavy or bitter. Light mouthfeel, easy to drink, decent carbonation. Very strong on the coffee throughout. Very good.

[4997-20121207] Cask. Dry dusty roasted malt aroma. Hazy, dark brown body with a medium-lasting creamy off-white head. More dry dusty roasted malt in the flavour heavily accented with espresso. Full body. Interesting to sample. (7/3/7/3/15) 3.5

2012-12-07. Dark brown head fades. Strong aroma of coffee grounds and beans. Muted dark malt 7+ Flavour is similar dry roasty coffee lightly bitter 7+ Average bodied palate is under carbonated. More coffee than I personally care for but it grows on me a lot in the second half of the glass, once my taste buds have acclimated. On cask at Goodbar, Buffalo
