On tap at the brewery on Brew Tours ’13’ Buffalo. Pours a hazy gold with a large lasting frothy white head. Some lacing on the glass. Aroma has lots of piney, citrusy and catty hops! Flavor is nice and hoppy with an average bitter finish. Medium bodied. Enjoyable

From 32oz brown growler. Medium yellow pour with some haze. Head is big with a creamy and rocky top. Hoppy nose, citrus, sharp grapefruit. Malts are dry and in the background, lots of lemony, grassy and citrus hops in the mouth. Medium bitterness with a quick finish. Nice stuff.

Growler - Fresh hops. Cloudy gold with a foamy white head. Grassy, resin and some white grape. Great well balanced citrus IPA. Screw Heady Topper, this is the shit.

Location: Sampled at Tap NY, 4/27/13

Aroma: This one has a mostly citrus hop aroma, some grapefruit, orange, lemon, etc
Appearance: It pours a cloudy golden orange color with a white head and medium lace
Flavor: The taste is much the same, lots of citrus, some light sweetness, and plenty of hop
Palate: The body is medium, it has a solid mouthfeel, some chewiness, and a fairly lengthy finish
Overall Impression: These guys make a quite tasty IPA. You really can’t go wrong with this one. I found it to be a drinkable and enjoyable example of the style.

Multiple samples at the nano-brewery. Yellow bodied and some head. Very lacy. 50-60 IBU and felt higher. Frangrant. Galaxy and Simcoe. Would be a good cask, as overcarbonated.

In short: An explosive fruity blonde IPA of superior quality.
How: Tap at Tap-NY festival 2013.
The look: Partly cloudy blonde body topped by a medium white head with medium retention and leaving lots of lacings on the glass.
In long: The highly aromatic hoppy nose is shoving fresh fruits up your nostrils. In mouth the body is very full but not heavy with a generous carbonation. Taste is pleasant semi-sweet chewy pale malts with a whole lot of fresh and vibrant citrusy and tropical fruits. A refreshing bitterness of medium intensity. Basically this is a pretty standard fruity American IPA, except that this one does it better than most with its very bright fruity character and the overall freshness sensation from both the malts and the hops. I happen to know one of the brewer of Community Beer Works, he seems very happy with his new job and it allows him to drink beer on the side, something I could never do, my drinking hole is in the front of my face.
