2013-05-08. Crisp dark amber body, modest beige head. Fruity aroma, lightly spicey/peppery notes, mild orangey fruit notes. Flavour is similar, mild Saisony funk undertones throughout. Light bitterness. Lightly dusty malt notes in aftertaste. Average plus bodied palate, modest carbonation. Enjoyable. Growler from the brewery

Growler, pours a cloudy brown, floral aroma, the flavour is spicy and a nice, pretty flavourful, didn’t get much from the saison being dark, but it tasted nice

Draft at CBW, nice Saigon. Fruit forward years times, touch of pepper, st Joseph’s aspirin orange, floral notes. Nice mouthfeel. A job well done

Growler. Deep amber-gold with an average size semi-lasting frothy off-white head. Aroma is fruity, floral, sweet and perfumy along with grain, yeast and citrus -- a bit mild but nice. Flavour of yeast, grain and fruity malt along with some pepper, herbs and an average spicy/bitter finish. Average to medium bodied. A pretty solid version of the style, well done.

Growler from the brewery. Very interesting appearance, a very hazy brown with an almost-purple hue. Very flowery scent, maybe it’s the Belgian yeast, I can’t be sure. I don’t really taste the citrus from the orange feel, but I get a ton of rose and lavender, though I don’t think either of those are in it. This leaves a strange yeast film (not sediment) in the glass like I’ve never seen before. I was bound to love this since I love the style, but this is another winner from CBW.
