American craft beer has become known worldwide for being innovative, unique and above all: hoppy! This deep golden, hop-forward American Style Strong Pale Ale brings loads of unique American hop character and as with most things American, some international influences. We blend four different hops from three different countries to achieve the harmonious balance of citrus and tropical fruit. The clean bitterness is balanced by the sparing use of crystal malts and a blend of base malts including a portion of Maris Otter English malt and American red wheat. Our house ale yeast contributes mild fruity esters and leaves the fermented beer nearly crystal clear, only for us to come along and throw in a bunch of dry hops, leaving a permanent “hop haze.” We think it’s a beautiful thing!

Slightly hazy deep golden with a fluffy ivory head. Earthy hoppy and grassy nose with a rustic toffee undertone. Smooth earthy rustic toffee flavor with a slightly bitter grassy hop. Pretty forgettable but well made and enjoyable.

Bottle from Kroger. Pours a hazy light Amber with a thin white head. The aromas are soap, citrus. The mouthfeel is watery bitter and had a little bit of light a soapy taste and a light body. Very strange. Cheers!

Pours a nice golden color with white head. Grass, pine, and citrus on the nose; follows onto the palate. It’s almost a dialed down version of the Mosaic IPA, but has subtle differences. Finishes with a nice hop resin.

Bottle - Light caramel with some earthy hops. Cloudy copper with a decent beige head. Light grains and caramel malts with some bittering hops. A nice pale ale, but not at all an American hop forward version. Could be an old bottle, or just not that hoppy.

Gorgeous pour from the bottle: cloudy amber body, handsome white head, sticky lace dirties my glass with aggressive retention.

Fresh, dank hops dance with the malty base. Touch of wheaty sweetness midway through; fruity hops balance the bitterness. So fresh. Such balance.

An excellent APA, especially from a Texas brewery. Second great hoppy beer from the guys at Community. Color me impressed.

First from this brewery and a good first impression. Faint hop aroma without much else. Brown golden color that comes across as unfiltered cloudy. Average white head. Crisp and carbonated palate. Leans toward the light side. Piney hops are the predominant flavor with a light malt background. I don’t detect the fruit listed in the description. Bitter finish and easy to drink and good with a pizza.

On tap at BTBF and the Brewery. Clear golden hued body with a white head. Aromas are of toasty malt, low yeast, grassy hops with a bit of tropical fruit and lime zest. Flavors are toasty, mild diacetyl, malty and grain. Citrusy and herbal hops. Dry. Dry, elegant esters, very easy to drink. Low bitterness. Quaffable and dry pale ale.
