American craft beer has become known worldwide for being innovative, unique and above all: hoppy! This deep golden, hop-forward American Style Strong Pale Ale brings loads of unique American hop character and as with most things American, some international influences. We blend four different hops from three different countries to achieve the harmonious balance of citrus and tropical fruit. The clean bitterness is balanced by the sparing use of crystal malts and a blend of base malts including a portion of Maris Otter English malt and American red wheat. Our house ale yeast contributes mild fruity esters and leaves the fermented beer nearly crystal clear, only for us to come along and throw in a bunch of dry hops, leaving a permanent “hop haze.” We think it’s a beautiful thing!

On tap at the brewery. Hazy orange body with a nice white head. Big time hop aromas - tropical fruit, pine, and citrus with a good amount of caramel malt. Flavor packs a hop punch with some bitterness and a piney finish.

(Draught) cloudy bright gold, small wispy head. Nose is super hoppy for the style, light pine, citrus pulp, citrus zest, bright and fresh sweet grain too. Taste of citrus zest, light alpha acids, easy to drink, no lasting bitterness, lemon, medium body, light carbonation.

Gorgeous pour from the bottle: cloudy amber body, handsome white head, sticky lace dirties my glass with aggressive retention.

Fresh, dank hops dance with the malty base. Touch of wheaty sweetness midway through; fruity hops balance the bitterness. So fresh. Such balance.

An excellent APA, especially from a Texas brewery. Second great hoppy beer from the guys at Community. Color me impressed.

On tap at the brewery. Pours an orange color with a white head. The aroma and flavor are what I expect from a pale ale. I get some nice biscuit and toffee notes, as well as some orange and lemon. Very well balanced overall and easy to drink. Medium mouthfeel and medium carbonation.

Bottle - Light caramel with some earthy hops. Cloudy copper with a decent beige head. Light grains and caramel malts with some bittering hops. A nice pale ale, but not at all an American hop forward version. Could be an old bottle, or just not that hoppy.
