3.5 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20
Tap takeover at Matthews Beer Temple. The best beer I had by a big margin. Definitely full bodied, big hop nose and citrusy flavor. Plenty bitter. Not the best IPA Iíve had by any stretch, but a solid take on the style.

3.6 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20
Poured from 12 oz bottle a lovely light orange hue, forming small head of off-white foam. Aroma evident of field grass, hay and hops. Pineapple also come to mind. Flavour much of the same, full bodied with a soft carbonation that makes it drinkable. Ending comes back somewhat dry and bitter. Very decent IPA, would recommend.

3.6 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20
12oz. Bottle. More malty on the nose. Hits with hops, then malty toffee, then hops. Finishes dry with a lingering grapefruit/lemon flavor. Good balance. Would have again.

3.3 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20
Pours a coppery golden yellow with little head or lacing. Aromas we very subtle, some citrus, pine, and lemon. Bitter hops, followed by some citrus, lemon peel, hints of honey. A good IPA. Nothing spectacular, though.

3.8 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 16/20
12oz bottle from Community Tap compliments of Zizzybalubba (Thanks Bro!!) Dark orange (almost reddish pour, darker then I like for an IPA), murky clarity with mostly diminishing off-white fizzy head. Virtually no lacing. Strong citrus (grapefruit), lemon zest, and sweet floral aromas. Strong bitter citrus up front (lemon & pineapple) with a floral finish. As the beer warmed the floral taste became more dominant. Lively carbonation, wet on the palate.

3.4 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20
Asheville, NC - Bruisiní Ales - 12 oz bottle. Hazy, medium orange pour, quickly fading off-white head. Spruce and mint in the aroma. Flavor has a nice solid citrus bitter backbone, some caramel malty sweetness, a touch of nuttiness. Mouthfeel has a decent spritz to it. Not bad at all.

3.6 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20
Pours a hazy golden brown from the bottle with fluffy off-white head that leaves moderate lace. Aroma is nice resinous hops with a biscuit malt back. Taste is more toward the bittersweet hop profile, solid but nothing special.

3.9 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
12 oz. bottle purchased at Community Tap, Greenville, SC. Darker than normal dark orange pour with a frothy off-white head. Bright pine and grapefruit aromas. Taste is bitter grapefruit rind, pine needles, and tangerine with a touch of caramel on the finish. Exceeded my expectations. Nice beer!

3.9 AROMA 9/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
Awesome fresh, citrus and pine nose and a mouth full of balanced, bright flavor. Brew is dark and cloudy, but Iím not concerned. Looks maltier than it taste. Solid beer for fresh IPA lovers.

4 AROMA 9/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 17/20
Aroma: A festival of citrus and resinous hoppy aromas--almost like getting hit in the face by a freshly cut pine 2x4 that had an over ripe grape fruit attached to the business end.
Appearance: Pours a hazy bronze (with suspended hop particles?) and a nice foamy head. I never like describing this category because, honestly, who cares what it looks like?
Taste: The aroma prepares you for a balanced dose of fruity/orange sweetness on the front end and a crisp piney bitterness on the tail.
Palate: body is medium--sweet but not cloying with a sharp finish.
Overall: Sometimes itís hard to differentiate one IPA from the next. You put enough hops in a beer and itíll probably taste pretty good. Trifacta, doesnít really separate itself too much from the pack in this regard, but it does a great job in the IPA category. The bottom line is that a cool citrusy pint (or 2) of locally-brewed Trifecta is just what the doctor ordered after a long (usually hot) hot day in South Carolina.
