Really unique take on the style. Raisin, sap. Subtle pine. Super earthly. It tastes like how hiking in the mountains smells. If that makes any sense. Very fresh. Maybe subconsciously I know this beer has water that tastes like Greenville water and the nostalgia factor kicked in.

3.7 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 17/20
Draft at the Community Tap. Yellow/orange pour with a white head. Grapefruit hop aromas. Big grapefruit hop presence. A bit unbalanced with an undersized malt backbone. Average body and mouthfeel.

3.9 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20
12 ounce bottle from Bruisin Ales. Pours a slightly hazy amber with a thin foamy off-white head. Decent head retention. Aroma of tropical, citrus hops and mild caramel malt. The taste is bitter tropical, floral, citrus hops, a bit of pine, and caramel malt. Medium bodied, well balanced.

3.6 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20
Pint from the tap at the Handlebar (Greenville SC: from notes)
Pours a clear dark amber with a off-white head that has poor retention. Glass is nicely coated on the way down
The aroma is dominated by piney and herbal hops with citrus overtones. The taste is similar, with a powerful but not over the top hoppy flavor. The malt base is mainly evident by implication, as this beer is not too bitter and the flavor has a good depth and richness.
M: medium body; well chosen carbonation.
O: a fine but powerful IPA, with a level of hops nearly up to an imperial IPA.

12oz bottle, bought in Asheville .. . pours out amber .. mild head, spots of decent lacing .. . mild resin, grapefruit, and mucky kaboul .. . a pretty mild beer, was hoping for more .. . . until I heard someone say it out loud, I thought minute rice was just super tiny rice

3.5 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20
Tap takeover at Matthews Beer Temple. The best beer I had by a big margin. Definitely full bodied, big hop nose and citrusy flavor. Plenty bitter. Not the best IPA I’ve had by any stretch, but a solid take on the style.

3.6 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20
Poured from 12 oz bottle a lovely light orange hue, forming small head of off-white foam. Aroma evident of field grass, hay and hops. Pineapple also come to mind. Flavour much of the same, full bodied with a soft carbonation that makes it drinkable. Ending comes back somewhat dry and bitter. Very decent IPA, would recommend.

3.6 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20
12oz. Bottle. More malty on the nose. Hits with hops, then malty toffee, then hops. Finishes dry with a lingering grapefruit/lemon flavor. Good balance. Would have again.
