3.5 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
Comes out of the tap a nice clear a beer with a thick and fine-bubbled pale golden tan head. Malty aroma has an apple overtone. Flavor’s firm malty core holds up apple and subtle yeasty and honey.notes quite well. Smooth texture has average fizz. A good community to join.

3.3 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20
Tap. The look is copper colored, white decent head, and almost clear. The smell is grainy, rich, malt, real rich malt, and mulch. The taste is rich, malty, mulch, cedar, and good.

3.9 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
On tap at BTBF and the brewery. I guess it shows that Jamie hasn’t lost a step from the Covey’s multiple GABF and WBC medals for the Vienna. Pours with a clear golden-copper hued body with a retentive white head. Aromas are huge toasty malt, baked bread, biscuity. Low floral hop. Very clean fermentation. Flavors are toasty, lightly floral, honey, bready, biscuity. Probably the best Vienna that I have ever had (including Heater Allen Lagers, Great Lakes, Jack’s Abbey, etc). Clean, dry, biscuity with medium body. Drinkable. Spot on beer.

3.6 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
Tap at BTBF and multiple pours at the brewery. Golden pour with a foamy white head. Nose is estery, grains, cereal. Flavor is cleanly fermented malts, dryer sheets (yes, that’s a thing), fruity, tons of cereal and grain. Great session beer, would love a growler to drink while mowing the lawn, or doing anything else I don’t enjoy.

3.4 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
Excellent example of a rare beer. All the maltiness of a scotch ale but the lightness of a pils.

2.4 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 2/10 PALATE 1/5 OVERALL 10/20
Not a fan at all. Too bitter for my taste. Probably to style for a Vienna lager but my first.

1.5 AROMA 3/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 3/20
Poured a decent enough colour with a firm head, but that is where the goodness stopped. Nose was rank and the flavours were all over the place, lacking a good malt backbone that the style should have.

3.4 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20
10 oz draft pour at The Common Table in Dallas, Texas. The pour is a clear golden copper with a smallish off white head. The aroma is biscuit malt, light malt sweetness, grass and hay. The taste is the malt, lightly sweet, grass, and dry straw earthiness in the back. The palate is light to medium bodied, active course carbonation, and the straw earth finish. Clean and tasty.

3.4 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 13/20
On tap at the brewery. Pours an amber color with a white head. I get a ton of biscuit and toffee malt, with a hint of grass thrown in. A very malt forward beer as you would expect, but there is a hint of bitterness even though there is not much hop flavor. Medium mouthfeel and medium carbonation.
