3.2 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 12/20 Papsoe (22987) - Frederiksberg, DENMARK - JUL 6, 2005
(Bottle 100 cl) Pale golden, hazy with a lacing head. Very flowery nose, with bitter hops dominating all the way through and lingering on the palate. Grasy, hoppy notes. A lovely crisp pilsener, that reminds me of of a quality classic German pilsener. 280598

Zythos Beer Festival, Sint-Niklaas, Belgium 2005. Hazy golden colour with a big white head. Sweet malty barnyard aroma and a sweet light spicy taste. Medium body and a sweet dry finish.
2.7 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 10/20 Engelsmann (652) - Copenhagen, DENMARK - MAR 8, 2005
Pours light golden with a creamy white head. Aroma is sweet malty. Taste is sweet and watery. This is a strange pilsener, with no discernible hops
3.2 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20 lachesis (758) - St Idesbald, BELGIUM - JAN 24, 2005
Intens blond beer with a clear warm yellow color and a white airy head. The beer has a refreching smell of agrum, mint, vegetal hops and pilsmalts. The taste is dry-malty with hints of herbs, spices and hops also a faint smooth fruity accent. Clean aftertaste with a hoppy bite.
3.3 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20 Nate (3093) - Indiana, Pennsylvania, USA - NOV 14, 2004
Draught at Hasselt Belgian Bierweekend. Fruity grapefruit hops aroma, like an IPA. Wheaty bitter, too. Medium dark gold hazy with thin head. Medium watery body with medium carbonation. Mild bitter fruity start, like an APA but not overly bitter. Mild malts, some ozone. Finish is light bitter. After is somewhat chalky.
3.6 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20 rauchbier (3205) - Isle Of Beer, Lincolnshire, ENGLAND - APR 8, 2004
Tap, ZBF 2004. Hazy gold, low cream coloured head and moderate spritzy condition. Low malt and some trace hop in the nose with a distant tobacco note. Much more interesting in the mouth with a good honeyed malt and pleasant hoppines. Long lingering finish with nice level of hop bitterness countered by sweet yeast.
3.2 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20 Hildigöltur (5107) - København, DENMARK - MAR 16, 2004
[Draught] Funny name. A very fresh and hoppy pilsener with a dry and bitter finish.
2.9 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 3/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20 Ungstrup (23961) - Oamaru, NEW ZEALAND - MAR 13, 2004
[Draft at ZBF 2004] The aroma is sweet malty with notes of yeast, peach, and corriander, a very fresh aroma. The color is a hazy dark yellow and it has a small disappearing head though lazing. The flavor is somewhat weird, very spicy from corriander, cloves, and more I cannot recognize. I do not like the flavor.
4.4 AROMA 9/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 9/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 18/20 dirkbreedveld (286) - NETHERLANDS - MAR 10, 2004
this is an unfiltered lager. It's fresh at first with a very nice hoppie bitterness to finish with. So far the best belgium lager i've ever had.
