4.1 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 5/5 OVERALL 17/20
I had this beer at the Concertina Band Club, it is a proper IPA by which others should be judged. Requested by Rodger Protz on a visit to Sheffield this year.

3.4 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 13/20
[cask at SIBA GNBF’11, Manchester] Dark amber beer with a decent white head from the sparkled festival pour. Fruity citrus nose, touch of sweet caramel in there on the aroma as well. Hops in evidence from the start of the taste, leading up to a dry finish. Really enjoyed this one – the other reviewers below must have been unlucky

2.6 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 10/20
Cask at the Great British Beer Festival Day 2, August 2009. Amber colour. Not particularly hoppy. Some diacetyl notes in the aroma too. Also some caramel. Not really what I expected. This was I beer I had wanted to try for a while but I wasn’t too impressed to be honest. Condition may not have been the best.

2.5 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 10/20
Amber color, small white head. Fruity aroma: caramcola, watermelon. Very cidery flavor. Some alcohol, grassy hoppy and then sweet apple. Short finish. Alcoholic feeling here despite of 4.5%, like a light version of European strong lagers.
