3.3 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20 Leighton (4097) - London, Greater London, ENGLAND - FEB 24, 2011
Gravity cask at the Bricklayer’s Arms BF, 2011. Clear, rich garnet pour with a soft film head. Tons of ripe fruit on the nose, light bread. Flavor is pretty sweet with some grapes, prunes and cherries, along with faint toast. Light bodied with fine carbonation. Has a sweet finish with yet more ripe fruits. OK but uninspiring overall.
1.2 AROMA 2/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 2/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 3/20 harrisoni (10070) - Ashford, Kent, ENGLAND - OCT 23, 2009
Cask gravity at St Albans BF 09. Very dark brown colour, thin beige head. Sulphur and green apple on aroma. Not sure it should taste like this. Pretty awful. I would suggest that this is not supposed to taste like this. Drainpour, so need to try it again.

A Mes rate: gravicask at the Bricklayers Arms. Read brown coloured with no head. Caramel and malt aroma with a hint of vanilla. Similar flavour but let down a little by some burnt plastic in the finish. Superb body for the abv. Decent stuff.

Dark colour with a brownish tint. Missing head. Poor in aroma, but some dried fruit can be detected. Prunes and plums in a bit winelike flavour. Very dry finish (The 11th St Albans Beer Festival, 28.09.2006).

Cask conditioned, gravity dispense at St Albans BF ’06. Dark red, thin head. Aroma is dark & fruity. Tastes rather restrained & muffled; granular sugary malt & fruit. Tanora comes to mind. Interesting- didn’t realise it was a mild.
